No. I only watch Clemson if they play Alabama. And Trevor Lawrence should be a shit tier QB on this team.

Bengals have drafted well unlike us. Instead of Chuma Edoga, they gave burrow guys like Boyd and Tee Higgins

You obviously haven't watched him much Hes the most pressured QB in the league and has already been sacked 22 times. Hes under constant duress.
Wentz's is injury prone and Trubisky was a bad draft pick. Hes mobile but a terrible passer.

You guys are too easy to equate the Collegiate talent a QB faces and NFL talent.
You can't say if you put X-QB on this NFL team he would succeed because he succeeded in college.

That is a horrible way of equating...sorry.

The “QB Savior” isn’t a good idea to pin your hopes on, but that doesn’t mean we don’t need a good QB.

Burrow is indeed pressured a lot. He does have a decent RB and a good receiving crew. Burrow did make some rookie mistakes but he does however move the chains. Bengals had a huge lead vs Indy and lost. Mixon left the game in 2nd quarter. So without him did Burrow falter? Sort of. Burrow passes are crisps though...

I watched that hit live. Welcome to the NFL rook lol. Plays like that are unfortunately rare these days. They all make out and swap Jerseys after the games which is enough to turn anyone off but hits like that remind me of why I love football

Sam with weapons and a good o-line would probably play better than Trevor with lessor talent and a lessor o-line (since we spent our top pick on him, instead of oline and weapons).

But yr 3-4-5, it may tip to TL as we'll have far more cap space to surround him with warriors than if we keep/pay Sam.

Darnold has four 300 yard passing games in 30 games. Joe Burrow has four 300 yard passing games in his first 6 NFL starts. That has nothing to do with players around you or coaching, folks.

Not to mention, if you turn on the game, he passes every single eye test.

I disagree. Sam is not a leader. He is too laid back. He needs more fire and determination, that he just doesn't have.

How would Trevor Lawrence be a waste of a draft pick? The only way that happens is if Gase is still the HC, and/or if Douglas doesn't fix the OL, or seriously upgrade the offensive skill positions around Lawrence. If Gase is still HC and/or if none of those things happen, then it won't matter anyway. Unless Douglas is totally stupid, he WILL build around Lawrence.

No, no QB is going to fix anything as long as Gase is the HC. Even with Gase gone, the offensive skill positions have to be seriously upgraded and the OL fixed.

True, but a QB who did nothing in college, sure isn't the answer. The only QBs that can give you hope are ones who were dominant in college.

Posted too soon ans burrow blew his 21-0 lead and lost. he also had 0 passing TDs and threw an INT on a possible game winning drive at the end. Plus with how bad flacco looks for us it tells you sam isn't the issue

I'm sorry but this couldn't be more incorrect. Burrow has a horrendous offensive line. The Bengals literally have the worst pass protecting offensive line in the NFL according to DVOA. Like literally last place.

Not trying to be rude but how hard is it to look up some advanced metrics before having an opinion? Is the front office hiring our fans as coaches/staff? Jesus christ.

It’s okay to say the Jets have failed Sam in every way imaginable AND that they Lawrence should and will be the Jets pick at #1 overall. The two statements are not mutually exclusive.
