We'll have Trevor Lawrence, 3 more first round draft picks in order to add real 1st round talent(s) on the offensive side of the ball along with A+ cap space around a QB that every NFL team with the #1 pick would draft 1st overall no questions asked. Plus a new head coach. A Head Coach of his choice/his type of personality/his vision to rejuvenate. So I wanted to apologize to all. Instead of talking football I've been knee jerk reacting without looking at the big picture. It's only right that give at least give JD a chance. He just got here. If his gamble of losing Adams, Robby even Bell was to flip Darnold into picks, feature 4 first RD picks, A+ salary cap, scrubs like Perriman here on 1 year deals etc in order to completely change the look of these 2020 Jets? Over the next two offseasons? Attacking both the draft and free agency? Who knows. All I know is that if we land Trevor Lawrence JD will have insane ammo in order to give us a fun offense for the first time in forever and my screen name doesn't lie. Mods. If we draft Trevor? The giants are in the playoff hunt now. What a crazy division. The teams I’m worried about sneaking up on us are the jags and cinci. They are improved but still suck pretty bad. Houston is good but they keep losing too.

It would've been nice to keep Robby as he had chemistry with Sam. Jamal, OTOH, wanted out. With Bell, a better coach would have utilized him properly. I have a feeling he'll play with a chip on his shoulder in KC especially against us.
As bad as they've looked and as sad as it is - that team is light-years ahead of the Jets. Two good edge rushers, and a pair of good defensive tackles. As well as a stud young receiver and a versatile runningback. Of all those things we have an OK defensive tackle...
What happens at the end of the year when JD says "I have full confidence in Adam Gase and Sam Darnold going forward."? I want to insert a "lol" here, but at this point, anything can happen.
I have always believed it was really dumb to throw much blame at a new GM who did not hire this coach and who did not draft or sign more than half the players on this roster. If everything goes well and we draft Lawrence, imagine how fun this offense can be if we add more pieces and get Mims healthy. His first year playing will be with Lawrence.
As bad as this team is, I am going to have to trust JD and hope for good things to come during the draft, FA and new Season in 2021. Of course that is if Gase is gone. The only thing I may not agree with your posts I don’t have much confident that the Jets will go 0-16 and with too many teams at 1-5, I fear the Jets will tie or lose the number one pick. If that happens I trust JD goes with his backup plans.
We just lost 24-0. We scored 0 points. This team is not responding to Gase. I repeat. 24-0. 0-6 now. You. We. Do not. Have to worry. About not getting the #1 pick. Just look at our schedule & you'll stop worrying. I find it hard to find a win in the next 10 games. Chargers, Raiders.......maybe. looking at our schedule one game at a time is the best way to calm your nerves.
Denzel Mims, Ashtyn Davis, Jabari Zuniga, Lamaical Perine, James Morgan, Cameron Clark, Bryce Hall JD didn't really light it up in his first go round.
We never come back. This is my exact fear and every week Gase isn't gone makes this fear inside me grow.
Denzel Mims is healing from an injury. Jabari Zuniga is healing from an injury. Perine has been used like horseshit and has yet to make his presence known because of it. James Morgan was drafted as a backup and camp body. Bryce Hall is healing from an injury. Cameron Clark is healing from an injury. Becton is also healing from an injury but is likely going to be a pro bowl tackle. Braden Mann is a stud. I would not say that "he didn't really light it up". It is not his fault that the injuries continue to plague this franchise, which is also falling at the hands of Gase and his staff. 5 of his picks are currently dealing with injuries. Not to mention the free agents he signed as well. Calling JD out for one draft where half of them are on the IR, is reaching, at best.
