For making this crew of jokers in NO look like an actual football team. I've only watched a couple Saints games this year but it's absolutely embarassing watching these 1X numbered clowns bumble all over the field. On the last FG drive alone there were 3 soul crushing drops/bobbles that cost the Saints a TD.
I guess this is the game thread? The Saints are not very good, as you say, although Bush clearly has a lot of talent. (Was anyone else very unimpressed in the first half when Bush ducked out of bounds when he could have gotten another 3 or 4 yards by taking on the cornerback, though?) What is more noteworthy to me is just how bad the Giants are, and just how undisciplined they are. If the Giants lose today and next week, I have to think that Coughlin is going to be gone.
What was even more unimpressive was after that duck out of bounds on 3rd and 2 he bobbled and dropped what would've been a 20+ yard play. Other then that sequence though he's looked pretty good today, he's really improving running the ball over the last few weeks. The back to back offensive personal fouls a couple drives ago were absolutely classic. The Giants are turning into the Raiders.
The Giants appear to have given up on both sides of the ball. Less than a minute into the 4th quarter and the crowd is emptying out.
This is one of the most enjoyable non Jets games this year. The announcers are openly mocking the Giants. And the Pats finish off the Jags. Nice start to the day.
It is remarkable how much Aikman is trashing the team. I guess after four straight weeks of seeing them he's trying to guarantee that he doesn't call another one of their games.
It's amazing - if St. Louis beats Washington (they just blew an easy FG that would have won the game) and San Francisco beats Arizona, the NFC will have SIX teams tied at 7-8 for the final playoff spot. What a pathetic joke.
and there's the rams win. i'll be rooting for the niners just so all the "analysts" have to list the 5000 different playoff scenarios with 6 teams tied for the final spot.
Rams beat Skins (good for the Jets) - now five 7-8 NFC teams tied for the last playoff spot and counting. Anyone know the six-way tiebreaker? :lol:
It's even better than that. First, SF beats Arizona. Then, next week, Philly beats Atlanta, New Orleans beats Carolina, Chicago beats GB, Minnesota beats St. Louis, Denver beats SF, and Washington beats the Giants, and you have six teams tied at 7-9 for the final NFC playoff spot! That's right - a team could back into the playoffs with a 7-9 record!
