We cannot afford another year of Gase. If Bell goes off, it’s further (not needed) proof that Gase is a fucking fake genius.
I think he will absolutely have an opportunity to shine in KC. What Andy Reid has historically done for duel threat running backs is insane. This was a good article that supports the idea of a system/line being a greater determining factor to a backs success then the back himself. I tend to agree. What's for sure is that the GASE system shits on RB's, WR's & TE's! https://fivethirtyeight.com/feature...ty-pick-up-leveon-bell/?addata=espn:nfl:teams
This is a no brainer for the Chiefs. Helps account for injuries and offers more versatility. I don’t blame Bell but also understand why the Jets released him. Also, who out there thinks there is more reason needed to fire Gase? I would just let it go if I were you all, he’s a dead man walking and they are just waiting until the season is over to do it. If they oust him now who will be there to take all of the heat?
IMO Gase has 2-3 more consecutive losses before he gets the AXE and will never HC again in the NFL somebody will take a flyer on him in a few years as a QB coach or assistant.
Even if the Chiefs get Bell, he's not going to get that many snaps. CEH gets the large majority and Williams and one other guy who's name mistakes me make up their current backfield. Bell is most likely done and just a situational back at this point in his career. I'd be shocked if he's anything more than average for whoever gets him.
Indeed, although almost every no name RB this year torched us, so there is that. Let’s face it, Gase is done as a HC. We can thank Chris hire so Gase had one more opportunity to validate that he is in no way, shape or form HC material.
I'm hoping that he absolutely lights it up. Everyone, including a lot of Jets fans, are acting like Bell is washed. I think he's still a great player.
My guess is Woody told CJ not to do anything till he gets back in December & takes control once again.
isn't robby proof enough already? i really miss him. always loved him as a jet and for some dumb reason he wanted to be here still. he was a home grown UDFA who shined against all odds. the jets version of victor cruz. and we lat him walk over 4 mil a year. meanwhile were sitting on 100 mil for cap room next year doing nothing for us
So, in other words, the guys who put the ball in the endzone. He really is coaching to where football is going. Touchdowns are so yesterday. Field goals are where it's at. Punts are even better.
Just saw the deal he signed with the Chiefs. They get his services for almost nothing. There are reasons we are 0-5 and counting.
Happy for the guy. I never experienced a worst to first (or first to worst) during my playing days but this is literally the absolute extreme for this kind of scenario. Hope he plays well for a number of reasons.
He's not what he used to be in Pittsburgh but he plays hard and gives max effort. And apparently he has good luck on his side he went from a team looking destined for 0-16 to the defending SB champs he could be lifting a Lombardi trophy at the end of this season.
And the Jets get out of a terrible contract and eliminate the risk of an $8 million injury. Just because the Chiefs get him for a good deal doesn’t mean it’s a bad decision by the Jets.
