It would have to be a pretty hefty return. There is no character or locker room issue to speak of and he is very young, with plenty of time left on his rookie contract. It would have to be at least a first round pick, with a little extra most likely. Maybe a team who is playoff bound, KC, BAL, or LV. We no it’s not SEA, HOU or LAR, that’s for sure.
Will almost certainly not get 2 firsts. That is the value reserved for proven top 5 players at their position. I would view this as closer to the Minkah Fitzpatrick situation, probably with a little higher compensation. So a 1st+
Probably a late round 1st about is best could get. For the 3rd pick, 2 yrs ago, and 21 yrs old on entry contract. To me, that is asinine. Counterproductive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ha, you need someone as dumb as BOB to swing that one. If the whole thing were to happen you’d have to hope for a playoff contender team that either just misses or goes out in the first round.
That's pushing things.. by a lot. I definitely wouldn't venture to go that far with it. lol I agree though overall, It would be asinine at this point.
We are doing a total tear down a la Miami. Can you get that through your thick skulls? This can be a 2 to 3 year process with the right drafting. Franchise has been beaten down with poor drafting and questionable free agent signings, not by the current regime. I say, trade it all.
We are tearing down, but Q will be at the end of his rookie deal in 3 years. He's a young ascending player who looks like he could become a key building block in a competitive roster. He was #3 pick. You aren't getting near the value for him to make it worthwhile trading him. Tear down or not, Q should part of the future... unless someone really blows you away with a trade.
It would take at least a 1st round pick to start the conversation. A 1 and a 3 could definitely get it done for me. If they moved on for him then I'm calling Green Bay and seeing if they are interested in Crowder. Blow the entire thing up if you're going to do this..
My skull might be thick, but I still don’t see why a full teardown has to include your youngest players as well. He could be a defensive fixture for another decade if he continues to develop. He’s shown some flashes. I’d like to keep him.
Another Gase BS thing to me, must not be his guy. Or Gase was against drafting him and Macc did anyway. Since JD said Gase and him have same vision for the team, getting rid of Q may be part of it. I think this looks like a desperate move. Not needed! We may have glut of interior DL, but that’s what we created. So maybe that is a reason to pursue... but still he looks to be evolving player, could be pro bowler some day. There is a reason other teams knocking on door, they may think they can get him for bargain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes, if they could get a solid cornerback, that would help the D a lot more than a solid inside d-lineman.
