I think my favorite Adam Gase quote this year was when he was asked why the Jets haven't been throwing deep routes and he responded with "we wanted to but our stretch the field guy was out". How bad does your offense need to be for it to be non-functional without Breshad Perriman? He of the 600 yard career best receiving total? Not a single other guy on the team can run fast? This guy is such a goddamn joke.
Remember at the 2020 Draft when Gase had his kids dress up in Adams and Bell jerseys? I mean this guy is a psychopath.

I will say one semi-controversial thing here: Jets fans should not be mad at Adam Gase. He is who he is. He was like this WAY BEFORE he came to New York. No Jets fan wanted Adam Gase as their Head Coach. 0. Zero. Can you really be mad at a guy for being terrible? He is who he is. Reminds me of when Jets fans trashed Geno Smith. I watched him for years at WVU and knew he had no chance to succeed at an NFL level. So I never was upset at him when he would play terrible and cost the Jets games. I was mad at John Idzik for being a complete moron and drafting him. Mad at Rex for starting him. Same with this situation with Gase. The blame is 100% on Christopher Johnson and maybe a little on Mike Maccagnan if he had any input, but he is gone now so who cares? So take all of your Gase hate and throw it towards the man who truly has caused all these problems for the Jets: Christopher Johnson.

If a pit bull bites me, I'm still going to be pissed at it, as I will be pissed at its owner for making him into an attack dog. The difference here is that unlike the pit bull, Gase actually has a mind to reason with and is responsible for the choices he makes, and the consequences that come with them. Being despised by Jets fans is simply the consequence of taking on a job that he wasn't qualified to do.
