You’d think in a offense that lacks explosive playmakers, you’d want to feature them both, and maybe *gasp* AT THE SAME TIME? But no, our coach likes to run FB dives to a blocking TE on 3rd and 1 and enjoys watching a 37 year old RB run a dive on 2nd and 27 down 14 in the 4th. Not much has managed to piss me off with this team, but the handling of this backfield has given me so much god damn agita I want to chuck a remote through the TV.
Sad but true. We have sunk to an all time low. An unwatchable mess yet unwilling to open up the game plan and let the young talent get their feet wet. Are there any remaining doubts in the Jet fan base that Gase has never, ever demonstrated as one of his strengths the capability nor interest to develop young talent? Apparently not in his style, or his mindset, and certainly not in his willingness to tailor his offensive system to the personnel available. I commend the fans here that quickly pointed out Gase was the worst possible choice to HC our young team, with limited talent, in desperate need of player development. Case closed. What are we waiting for? Could any of our assistant coaches do a worst job for the remainder of this year? We have witnessed a 0-5 start with close to zero adjustments to the game plan to leverage not just Sam strengths, but the rest of our young personnel. I now firmly believe that if Gase supported the need for Anderson to help in Sam’s development , JD would have accommodated that. I don’t believe Gase saw as big a role for Anderson as the fans here did. Even beyond Perine, Gase has not even seen fit to incorporate Bell into a much larger role, a running back that before his hold out was the best in the business. Under normal conditions, with a full stadium of passionate fans, boos would have filled the stands in embarrassing fashion. Now even that message is suppressed. We press on as business as usual, with no hope for a better future. Without the right people at the helm, the number 1 pick or picks will be wasted once again.
I'm sure there's been times to insert Perine but he just got back from injury, not to mention he missed a bit of camp due to said injury. Pass pro was the reason why Ballage was ultimately cut from the team and we aren't sure he's ready to pass pro and I do get and want him to get tons of opportunities to see what he has but I feel there needs to be realistic expectations to why he hasn't played as much. With bell back and Perine healthy he should definitely take over gore's carries going forward.

I saw this earlier but decided to wait on posting it. So it appears another Jet "star" wants out of GaseLand. At some point when does it become the Coach and not the ungrateful, egotistical, all about me player? You have to wonder now if Opting out was Bell's way off the roster but he missed his opportunity. You already know Mosely is already walking slowly towards the exit as well. GaseLand is becoming a Wasteland..
history seems to be repeating itself... Jay Ajayi, Jordan Phillips, Jarvis Landry and others come to mind who forced their way out of Miami. Somehow the Johnsons knew more than we did and brought him in anyways. Until they go, the misery will remain
Gase Is so fucking bad... How could you be worse? Oh, you could be that moron who owns the team, who also, hired this JackWagon. Well Played. Well-Fucking-Played.
This assumes that Gase hasn't "already" lost the LR. I think he has... to me its evident how the team plays for him. Also, just had an interesting thought, what if SAM was intentionally playing badly so he could get traded and start over... not out of the realm of possibility.
Not to knock Wesco because he hasn't had much opportunity, but I saw that play in slow motion on that 3rd an 1 play ( or was it 4th?) and you can actually see plain as day him running right into his own man and he was looking straight at him - not even viewing the obvious opening to the right. either that's just bad vision or what I don't know but if he went right , they would have had a 1st down. A talented player should have gotten that 1st down. Wesco looked awkward.
My two takeaways: 1) Is this what passes as journalism these days? 2) It’s a dumb thing to do by Perine. Gase is gone in a matter of weeks, there’s no need to give yourself a look of a malcontent.
