    Teams can cut players mercilessly. The only part of a contract worth anything is what’s guaranteed. Almost all of the risk lies with the player.

    Seems to me NFL contracts are more like suggestions. So why am I going to fault a player for turning the tables on ownership?

    Jets Xxx punt today. I guess we've reset the networks graphics.... They can't account for the number of punts required in a Gase offense.

    They will have been paid with the guaranteed cash and surely they still get what is owed when cut? The nthey go and sign for another team if they are any good or the Jets if they are not.

    He had 2 years left on his contract, negotiate with a year to go is understandable or it is pointless signing a 5 year deal, to begin with.
