His tweets + this crying revelation are manifestations of his non existent intelligence. He was here 4 years I think? He had to see where this was headed, and I don’t think he was a Jets fan growing up. Yet being offered 10 for 1 is worth crying over, because a bottom feeding team didn’t offer you 20 for 2?
Not true that tbh Simply put, Anderson has become more aggressive when the ball is in the air. He is making contested catches, the so-called 50-50 balls. In fact, he's winning 50% of them. In Weeks 12 through 15, he caught six of 12 targets for 83 yards on tight-window throws, according to NFL Next Gen Stats.17 Dec 2019 Jets' Robby Anderson catches fire: Harbinger or ... - ESPN.com
I have always taken Douglas letting Robby walk to be more about upgrading the position (#1 WR or truly a #2 WR) than it was choosing Perriman over Robby. I think Joe's plan was about 2021. He was hoping that Mims could be a #2 WR and then in 2021 he could either draft or sign a #1 WR. It's not a bad strategy, but it had the potential to make 2020 rough if things did not go well, and they have not. Still, when looking back on it now, I think everyone would spend the extra couple million to keep Robby, including me, who was fine with letting him leave at the time.
Meh, i don't buy this. I am in the belief robby wanted to be a jet but only if we have him a 3-4 year deal around 15mil. It wasn't this devotion to be a Jet.
This is all about Joe Douglas and Gase egos.....If your not a guy they drafted or brought in then your gone. They want the credit for everything....This is how bad teams get built.
I think gase convinced JD that Robbie wasn’t his type of guy... If you know what I mean. But obviously doesn’t matter someone’s grammar, he is a baller, and we could have used hm. When you find a good WR2 as UDFA you keep hm to build around. It is good motivation for rest of team, that hard work is rewarded. IMO bad move not to sign him actually before he hit free agency. He deserved it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Agreed. Don’t buy it. Anderson wanted to play for his college coach and more importantly get away from Gase. This organization is a cesspool. Jets ability to develop talent is nonexistent. Yes, we absolutely suck at drafting but how can we really evaluate our draft suckitude when we have ZERO ability to develop players. Greenberg is absolutely correct... if I’m Lawrence and Jets get the 1, I’m absolutely going back to school. FU Johnsons
I created an off-season thread on how Robby Anderson was one of my top 5 Jet WRs of All Time throughout my generation. I posted so many statistics that show he was on the verge of cracking the top 1-5 within almost every Jets WR statistical category of All Time. I made it known Robby has performed for 7-8 different QBs. I let everyone know he's pound for pound one of the MOST TALENTED WRs within the game today. I posted countless amount of Robby Anderson big play highlights to show what we'd be missing once he left. I pointed out how Robby Anderson doesn't get hurt and plays every game etc etc. So many fans mocked me throughout that thread. Laughed me off. Underestimated Robby's physical talents. So many were on JDs side for letting Robby walk for a former 1st round BUST in Perriman. Sam Darnold lost his favorite weapon within the form of an undrafted GEM and got stuck with a former 1st round bust? lol fk JD.
