I was thinking IR would mean a nice annual salary for Cager but even tho he got hurt in a game, they were able to shift him to the PS and then IR him.
The Jets will lose another game But with Flacco theres a 50% chance it will be a respectable 7 to 10 point one Let Sam rest his injury ...hes trade worthy after Trevor L comes on board and Gase gets Extended Leave

Flacco starting is the worst thing for us...we learn nothing more about Darnold...we already know what Flacco is and he’s not the future....and if by chance we win it’s a double whammy...fucks our draft spot without learning about the QB that we need to make a call on...
That was a general statement saying, if your franchise QB has any kind of injury, I would hold him out the rest of the game. I think Sam is the most important player the Jets have and if you don't want to call him a franchise QB due to all of the failure around him, you can call him a potential franchise QB. Because he is one.
Being number one on the depth chart is far from being a franchise quarterback. On the other hand, any QB on an NFL roster is a "potential franchise quarterback." The New York Jets do not have a franchise player today. Not a single one has proven himself to be irreplaceable.
Yeah, that is fair to say. If your idea of a franchise QB is being irreplaceable, then it is a really small list of Mahomes, Rodgers, Wilson, and not much more.
It Flacco plays well, then we learn Darnold is a bust. If Flacco's terrible, then we learn Darnold wasn't the problem.
JFM and Quinnen seem to be thriving up the middle as pass rushers. Need to see more of Huff whos likely gonna get the starting nod this week as a pass rusher
IMO if we drop to both Cards and Chargers, it's safe to assume we are walking into Miami at 0-9. If Miami continues to play competitive and stay healthy, I don't see how we sweep them, perhaps we split. After the back to back Phins games, I can easily see us losing out. Cleveland would be the only other one and they have way more talent than us. This is all assuming there are no major injuries or Covid related items. So 1-15 is absolutely reasonable to think, if we drop the next two.
Considering how the line has looked so far plus Becton probably not playing I can't see Flacco playing well, but if he does the board should be pretty interesting Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk
Mabey they throw Morgan in there? We burned a 4th on him, might as well see what he's got Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk
I don't remember the last time we contained a mobile quarterback....Kyler Murray is going to make us look stupid and I would also think that Cliff Kingsbury is going to draw up some plays that will make us all wish we had picked him as HC
No reason not to unless we're worried about Jimmy Morgan getting turned into Bryce Petty, human pinata.
Why? Are they the better team? Of course not The Cardinals are traveling to NJ Flacco is very motivated, he wants to prove he still has it, so he can sign a bigger contract with his next team This Covid season is also surreal, and it’s becoming more Covidy by the day, so weird shit will happen this Sunday around the league The Jets are horrible And everybody knows it So the Cards aren’t coming into this game with their usual intensity A few costly turnovers A missed field goal Refs blow a call And the Jets get their 1st win of the season Upsets happen every week in the NFL 1-4
Flacco is a statue. Behind the Jets o-line, he'll be lucky to leave the stadium with all his limbs attached.
