I really like Bieniemy, he played for great coach at Colorado, and had worked for great coach. He may well be the genious offensive mind we have been looking for! Only if he would leave great situation to come to the jets. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I wanted to make one thing clear on Gase: It is NOT the record that upsets me. The Bills, 49ers and Colts are all clearly better than the Jets. Even with all of the 49ers injuries. The Jets have many injuries themselves. The team could be (0-3) right now and we have a completely different view on the team, in a positive way. The problem is HOW the team has played. Completely embarrassing. That is all on the coach. You could lose all 3 games but look like a competent team that is just over matched. That happens in the NFL. It even happened last year in Baltimore on Thursday Night. The Jets lost in blowout fashion, but I thought they played pretty well and the players were put in the best position to compete. The Ravens were just that much better. This year, not so much. Not even close to competitive and Gase has LITERALLY QUIT in 2 games. (San Francisco and Indianapolis) Unheard of. Gase's one job was to make Sam Darnold great and instead he has made him worse. Unbelievable. For that, he must be fired. Not because he is (0-6) in September games as Jets Head Coach. (which is also terrible) You can rebuild in a positive way, while losing at the same time. The Jets are showing they need to start over instead. It is unfortunate.
Yup, just look at how the Dolphins are playing under Flores. They're 1-2, but they've competed and gave the Bills a scare last week. It would be our luck if they get the one Belichick assistant who does well away from NE.
You're right on the SoS. The Patriots were 1 yard away from beating the best team in the NFC and maybe the best team in the league, and they were on the road. The 3-0 Bills look like a solid playoff team. Flores definitely has his guys buying in. Last year the Dolphins had the worst or 2nd worst roster in the league yet finished with the #5 pick because they went 4-4 their last 8 games. I see this year as the first year of the rebuilding process since last year was the firesale year. If they finish 7-9 or 8-8 and develop Tua from the bench I'd consider it a great year.
Game 4 but why is it talking some crap? The number one pick might be the only highlight of this shit show season, yes, it is more likely we Jets it up and win 4 stupid games to pick 5th or 6th and ruin the season even further. EDIT sorry, I didn't realise this was an old post lol somebody liked my post and I thought it was one I typed an hour or so ago lol
Firing Gase week 5 would be just as dumb as firing a GM right after letting him draft but no team can be that dumb..right?
Any sense, not just common sense It still rankles that they let a man they must have known they would be sacking pick a draft, ffs.
Lol. My point was we all had the #1 pick talk last year, when we were most miserable team in the league. We ended up with 11... this yr same, we are laughing stock of nfl after 3 games, now same talk. Gase has got to go, I am tired of the same ole shit. #1 pick not fixing this shit show, we need to clean house first. Cleveland picked 1st for like 4-5 yrs, stacked picks, etc. still were miserable... until recently, they are Turing it around a bit. After like 3-4 management changes and coaches. I watched a lot of those games from the Pettine-Jackson era and I have to say that those Browns teams didn't quit. They took their lick and always tried to win as hopeless as that was with a lot of mediocre players and average coaching. On fourth and long they would at least try to put a pass near the LOS rather then run a bubble screen or a run up the gut and I would rather pay to watch those 1-31 teams then this current Jets collective.
I beg to differ. Rather than let Gase destroy Sam and the desire of any of the current Jets to stay here or future FAs to sign here, it would be better to cut bait and move on. There are no guarantees that if Gase stays we'll wind up with the #1 pick. Only 1-2 wins could knock us out of the #1 spot. I'll be shocked if we don't beat Denver Thursday night.
Amen... get this bum out now or maybe Fri morning. BUT I am warning all of you... I have see this scene before, expecting a loss and they come out and win.... That is why I am AZSOJ.
You can't rebuild in a positive way with Brian Berrios as your most potent offensive weapon. It just doesn't work. You could bring Andy Reid in right now and this would still be a dead offense.
Ok, so Bieniemy passes the Herm Edwards test. He was a good NFL player. He still isn't going to do jackshit with this Jets roster. The minute he walks out of Kansas City he gets *much* worse, because he walks away from Pat Mahomes and Andy Reid. Seriously, if the Jets hire another coordinator as HC we're right back on the same train we've been on for the last two decades except there's no talent here now.
So I understand what many are wishing for. Fire Gas as soon as they can and bring GW as interim coach and still root for him to suck so the Jets can get #1 pick for Trevor? If you bring in a Interim Coach you’re rooting for the guy to not only turn this team around but the franchise for years to come right?
At this point we should just own the situation and leave things in place. If Gase wants a future career he's got 13 games to avoid 0-16. If Sam wants to stick around then show us something and win us some games to take us out of QB draft range. Unless the guy we want as the next HC is free and available to start now then I don;t see the point in a interim hire that will only cause excuses about Sam having to learn 3 new systems or god forbid start using our team right and suddenly making us see that Bell is actually a weapon or our TE's can do more then just sit home and block. If we get to 3 or 4 wins with Gase then there are at least some players that can be relied on as at least depth options next year, if we go 0-16 then we've hit rock bottom and at least we have hope going into next year where 2 or 3 wins will feel like a championship.
