I used to think Williams was the no brainer answer, but I'm starting to gravitate towards Boyer.

Most likely Williams because he has the experience, but I wouldn't mind seeing Boyer get a shot for 10ish games.

Added Boyer and allowed vote changing. He’s a good option.

I'm wondering if Jefferson wouldn't be a bad choice.

Cimini mentioned he thought he’d be a potential HC someday. Receivers haven’t looked good, I don’t get it, why ya want him?

  8. Boyer or Jefferson would be my choice but it will be Williams bc hes the strongest voice & CJ will cave.

I suppose Williams but it makes no difference. This season is a total loss. Blow it up and start over. Let Douglas pick his guy.

Yeah, you make Gregg Williams Head Coach, and promote Jim Bob Cooter to Offensive Coordinator. Fire Gase and his lackey Loggains.

This is actually a tricky one for Douglas. Does he choose the person who has the best chance of getting results this season, or does he go with someone who will make as good of a tank commander as Gase?

    His choice could be telling.

I say rid the cupboard! Keep couple lower level for continuity (Boyer, Jefferson)), hire out side candidate.

Never liked Williams or Gase, especially not together! We need new culture and perspective!

It will probably be Williams, but I'm leaning towards Cooter simply because I want an offensive slant after all these decades of "defense wins championships". Also, Williams isn't going to be the HC going forward, so why even bother? Let him continue to focus on the defense - they need all the help they can get anyway.

I'd really prefer they could hire the guy they want to be HC going forward, but I doubt the best candidates are free at this point. Best to play out the string and then interview/hire the best ones after the season.

Nobody's looked good on this team, so I say why not him?

Why? At least Williams has been a HC. Boyer's STs are as bad as Williams' D this year. The only thing that Boyer has going for him is Braden Mann, and that's not through any efforts of his own.

You can't replace the whole CS mid-season, and you can't bring in someone from the outside to be HC who doesn't know the players or schemes. Sorry, but that's just nuts.
