Need to see him without Gase for a big sample this season to decide if we should move on or not.

Tannehill is a top 7 QB now. I’m not convinced anything we’re seeing from Sam right now means anything.

He was not good today, I agree he had a role in every pick and even the safety he should have known he had a backup in at LT and had a faster timer in his head. It’s hard to see it though because I’ve seen enough to know things would have gone differently in a different situation. At this point it is what it is, I’m not sitting here saying he’s the future.

The interceptions today were absolutely Sam's fault. Throwing bad interceptions is totally in character for Darnold. It's something he has struggled with since college.

It’s simple - he plays well, they win games and they can’t draft a new QB - that’s on him

Whether it’s to fix Darnold or develop another young guy, I want Brian Daboll as the HC.

The option has to be picked up in the upcoming off season so theres no watching how Sam plays in 2021 to decide.

I wanna seem him with a diff guy coaching, but also better playas. I’m partially afraid he’s ruined. That said, that first touchdown was GREAT-emphasis on great.

Don't pick it up they should do what the Bears did with Trubisky.

The draft will tell us all we need to know about Darnold's option. If we land a Top 2 pick then Darnold will be gone after 2021, if not sooner via trade.

    I don't think he's a bad QB but I can't say he's a special QB. He's better than Sanchez & Geno were.

He made some good plays out there today kept plays alive, made some nice throws but the NFL is a bottom line business. Putting up more points on the board for the other team than his own won't get the job done, 7 points won't get the job done.

He made some good plays threw a perfect pass to Griffin that would've picked up a first down that was dropped. There were other drops.

How bad have Jets TEs been this year?

They have to get Flacco ready to play. Taking a seat may not be the worst thing for Darnold at this point.

Coach Gase has to do something to try to jumpstart this offense because the way this season is going he's going to lose his job.

There will be other options not only the draft.

This could be Wentz final year in Philly. SF's Mullens lit up both NY teams so he OR Garoppolo could be trade options.

On that horrendous RZ pick, Herndon was on the other side of the end zone completely uncovered.
    WIDE OPEN.
I'm closer to him on this keyboard than the Colts defenders were. A GIFT TD.

Wentz is every bit as cooked as Darnold. I want no part of him. Garoppolo has never impressed me.

Tannehill's numbers through his first 3 years will probably look better than Darnold's on paper after 2020. Also, Idk if I want to take the chance he will suddenly emerge in his 7th season. This is his second coach and offense .. I was also optimistic with Darnold .. and like the talk going around everywhere .. his flashes make you more than hopeful. Regardless of the talent around him .. IMO, those flashes are getting less flashy, and I just no longer see that, "It Factor." His play, body language/facial expressions and post game comments just add to this. This team needs to be overhauled ..

Completely. What can we get for him?

Sam Darnold looked pretty good today, honestly. He is throwing to #5, #6 and #7 WR's. It is not easy. I still feel with the proper coaching and weapons, he will be an elite QB. He isn't lost. His mistakes are just magnified due to the crap around him and the smallest margin for error in the NFL.

    Stop. He was horrendous today.
    3 INT's, 2 pick 6's and a safety. Come on.

Yeah, both his tackles missing, top WR's missing, Bell missing and Gase calling his plays played a large role in that. The interception in the end zone was the only truly horrendous play Sam had. That was unacceptable. At worst, it should have been 17-10. Throwing that INT killed all the momentum the team had. The 2 pick 6's were less upsetting to me and I am not sure they were Sam's fault.

Your assessment of Sam is on par with the Johnson's recent assessment of Gase. He doesn't have much to work with, but when he sucks, he sucks. And he sucked today.

Herndon was NOT wide open and actually was covered by the far corner. STOP IT.

The RZ pick was because Cager needs to sit in the seam. Once Rhodes pulls off him to moving from man to zone – Cager SHOULD NOT have ran his route back into the Cover 2 zone coverage. I mean HELLO...everyone in the NFL knows the Colts run a Cover 2.

A more experienced WR would have ran it up the seam, wave his arm and sat in between the Cover 2 and Incoming LB. That's the window. Of course Darnold gets the full blame because he's the QB, but this happens when you throw to PS undrafted wideouts...I mean come on.
