That's true. I just think they're going to look desperate this week. And even though the Colts game against the Vikings looked impressive on the scoreboard - it wasn't. I watched 3/4 of the game on my second screen. Cousins threw three straight picks inside his own 35 and the Colts managed 9 points off of it against a Vikings defense that was torn apart by the Packers and lost Anthony Barr. Their leading receiver is a tightend that would be a backup on most teams (didn't hit double digit receptions in either of his first two years). We're also 10x as bad as that. But hey let's see. We're going to come out with an inspired effort one of these weeks I'd think.
I think we quit already (on both sides of the ball). Maybe we back door cover on a late touchdown in garbage time, but I think we get our doors blown off - again.
You know how terrible that sounds? That wouldn't be a Gase problem. That would be a 53 man roster needs to go problem. It's their job. They are paid millions to do it. I think the Jets can and will cover and have a legitimate chance to win. This week will tell a lot about the team. Week 1 was a nightmare. Week 2 was also really bad. Need a strong start so they can actually be in a game for once.
Could be. It's discouraging because despite how much everyone hates on the 6-2 finish, the team was playing inspired football last year and started games well. I expect that will return at some point this season. Maybe that's just wishful thinking.
Just curious. What does everyone think of Lawrence Cager. I know he’s a big bodied receiver at 6 foot 5. But did anybody follow him in college and want to give me some insight ?
All I know is he set off at camp slow and looked likely to be cut with stone hands but then all of a sudden he seemed to improve and made a few good catches and could well be a redzone threat but then again we have to get in the redzone more than once for anybody to be a threat. Also, it is doubtful Gase will factor him into one of his excruciatingly complex difficult too understand play designs.
Try to keep it close. If the Colts get any kind of big play, instantly quit and begin working on a game plan for Denver.
I was thinking we had a chance this week too--but with all the injuries--oy. Maybe Gase will be ingenious this week. I'm feeling like the D is going to contain Rivers so maybe, just maybe we cover.
People are allowed to go to Central Park, Marine Park in Bklyn right ? I hear Douglas and Gase have a few able bodied replacements they have scouted at touch football on weekends and anybody from NYC Police, Fire Dept teams and PAL Got them ready just in time for do or die at Colts
You know I find your optimism infectious. That being said, I continue to worry about your long-term health.
Since we'll probably lose by 14 or more, I just want to see some young guys play well. Maybe Q can get a couple more sacks, Bless shut down his man, more pancakes by Becton, a young receiver shows some life.
