If Darnold throws the inaccurate ducks like he threw Sunday, WR means squat as they will barely get there hands on it.

Cannot blame the WR if he actually has one that can win.

I would love for the Jets to trade for Allen Robinson, but I don't see why Joe Douglas would do it now if he refused to do anything all off-season.

If the Jets will be as bad as advertised in game 1 and as bad as the talking heads predict then a jets 2nd round pick is pretty much a 1st. I'm not giving up a pick that high. Instead I'd offer both 3rd's... the Jets 3rd will be like a low 2nd and the 3rd from SEA should be closer to a 4th.

i have them at 1-9 at the bye week, and 2-4 after.
    total : 3-13

sign at vet fa at minimum, or sign an undrafted/cut from another team
do NOT trade any future draft picks.

Think about that for a minute. If Gase is as bad as you claim and the players hate him, why would Robinson want to come here while Gase is HC? He would have no guarantees that Gase will be fired.

I'd love to add Robinson, but am not sure he'd want to come here with Sam being so shaky and with Gase as HC.

He wants to leave a bad team, and come to a shitty team? Ya makes perfect sense in the Jets fans delusional mindset!

If he agrees to come here sure but honestly why would he want to be here? We're one of a few offenses that are worse than where he is

Sam is worse than Trubisky why would he come here. Why would the bears trade him starting the season on a positive 0-1.

yes the jets should trade him. I’m pretty sure sitting out is a higher option for players then to come here. I compare this team to ass juice

exactly. That’s why I said in two separate threads that I have no idea why Robinson would actually agree to an extension here. I’m saying if he goes elsewhere and it’s reported that we didn’t even make an offer I will lose a ton of faith in Douglas. There’s a difference between trying and failing and not trying at all.

Actually, most people on here seem to understand it won’t happen. That doesn’t mean we can’t want it too.

To me these are two different scenarios. I can understand saving money for next off-season when the salary situation is going to be murky. But this is the kind of guy you are saving for next offseason. Why wait? If he’s available now, do it. If you give up that Seattle first round pick then you’re basically trading Jamal Adams for Robinson and a third. I would do that all day although I would much prefer to hang onto that first round pick.

  19. I actually think it COULD happen.

Robinson’s not gonna sour on Darnold just bc of one game. Seems like Sam HAS a good rep w pllayers league wide.Deteriorating quickly im sure. WRs like guys who can make plays off script like he can not to mention his touch on throws.

Gase,Douglas & Rex Hogan all have ties to Chicago. Just sayin.

so it’s not even really close to all systems go. Chicago has to realize how valuable he is if they are going to keep trying with Trubisky. I can’t imagine they don’t pay him eventually.
