Bell made a difference on that last drive. Darnold made some good throws. Darnold has to hang in there the protection is there I think. He's seeing ghosts/looking at the rush/happy feet.
That half was horrendous start for the season, no questions about it. Hopefully that last drive made Sam a little more calmer for the second half, he had jitters in the first. Let's try to make this a game.
Glad to see Mekhi BIG TICKET Becton mixing it up. Someone showing fire along with Maye and Bless Austin
I don't think your assessment is completely accurate. We are severely hurting on offense because we simply don't have enough threats to make It hard against a good defense like the Bills have. Our WRs are not creating separation and Darnold hasn't had a lot to work with. The play calling has been obvious and atrocious all at the same time. The Bills aren't doing anything crazy on defense, it's nothing special, and I highly doubt this is a "seeing ghost" situation for, Darnold.
Manning was the OC and QB coach on those teams, making Gase's contribution irrelevant. It's also worth noting that Manning took the #1 all-time offense to Super Bowl 48 and got absolutely clapped by the Seahawks. 43-8. They scored their lone TD in garbage time.
Looks like I was wrong about Matt Rhule as a HC. He has the Panthers prepared to play and playing pretty well. They're not looking "hapless" or "inept" like the Jets. Of course if he was the HC, we probably wouldn't have JD, we'd still have Mac.
