Yep the "salt slurry" we do that.... a bit less water though.

Actually, big Jack Crevalle..... Hard to tell with camera angle of him sitting in my lap. Alot different than a bluefish (and would kick a bluefishs ass ) luckily minimal teeth.... I pulled the lure out and sent him off (he was prob 15-20 lbs) fun stuff but I'm still tired (was fishing a mile+ off the beach)

Can I come? Wait, don't tell me I have to wear a mask on open water on a fishing trip. "Man Overboard!" Meaning I demand you throw me overboard.

37 more LingCod. With things being what they are, I couldn't believe they had a Tour Bus pull up with a load of weekenders. I just stayed outside the cabin and kept my mask on. Used my electric reel all day on a single battery which actually surprised me. We fished between 225-250ft. using 12oz lead. It was nice to come home from a fishing trip without aching arms.

The mates handed out boat rods and they put 14oz sinkers on them just to keep the weekenders pinned to the bottom. They still managed to tangle up. :)

Otherwise a great day. I'll be shipping a lot of my catch to friends and fam. Over my last two trips I've caught 74 LingCod so with 148 filets, I'm overwhelmed with fish and my freezers are full. I wish I could donate them to homeless shelters but they don't take items like fish and meat anymore.

Mostly in the 1-5lb range. No bag limit on Ling. Getting my shipping material together to unload some of these fish fillets. I was throwing back the smallish ones to be caught next year I hope. Some folks kept everything they hit. Sad...

Well.... went nearshore bottom fishing with friends last sunday. A few big "endangered" red snapper, pretty slow otherwise. Lots of dead beers though

Great Tilefish trip! Caught my limit of blueline tiles and came close with goldens as well. New rig performed flawlessly as I set the drag to 15lbs which was plenty. Rough seas early on settled down and then the bite turned on. I actually stopped fishing with about an hour left before we left as I had enough fish in the cooler. There was no need to just keep stockpiling fish at that point. Most of the day we stayed between 375-425ft using 32, 40, 48 and even 64oz lead when the current was running high. The issue with a hard current is scope as your line tends to go with the current. At one point, I had 500ft of line out in 375ft of water. All in all, a great trip. Got two long range trips scheduled for 2020. 11/14 for off shore SeaBass and 12/7 for Block Is. Rhode Island which is the one I'm really stoked for..
