Congrats Petro, I joined in 2008, only forum I have ever signed up for, and still keep coming back to. It was the level of intellectual conversations that drew me in, the banter was great of course and so were the insults but it all really revolves around good football talk. Keep up the great work!
I read this forum every day, but hardly post. Thank you Petro for starting this forum and thank you posters for the daily read
I bounced around different boards (yahoo, aol, espn) but never posted. A Jets fan at work told me about this site and I signed up right away. There are more intelligent fans on here (not that everyone agrees on things) then any other site. Even with the advent twitter and instant updates etc (I don't and won't be a twitter user) I still come here for insight not just angry twitter rants. Happy 20th, just think next year the site will be old enough to drink.... With this team we need it !
You are one of the folks that make this place better than any average fan site. Thanks for being here and contributing my friend.
Congrats, real good accomplishment. I wish the NBA thread was still kicking, it was fun to talk playoffs a few years. I come and go.. not much Jets to discuss lately, look forward being apart of the some jets talk and getting out of the politics forum. I joined right before a huge wave of bans involving Mr. E and some other guys... they were super aggressive. I remember i messed with one of them in the old trash talk forum and the guy was just a D bag. Outside of that, the guy who faked cancer and the airport thread are my top wtf memories.
remember Al Groh? i remember Buster Ramsey and AL Darrow! Shocked the football world in 1965 by paying an outrageous $527, 000 to some rookie qb from Alabama. back then , the Jets owner actually knew how to operate a football team in the Big Apple. Congrats to Petro for his accomplishments and refinements to this site. ditto for the mods, who had to rein in the more extreme members on occasion.
Thanks Petro for the hard work and commitment you've put into this site. I come here mainly to learn, but also to vent, and once in a while add something based upon my long suffering years as a Jets fan. And thanks to all the other people like Cman and Brook, and the other mods!
Thank you for creating this wonderful place Petrozza! I have met friends for life because of this place and so many memories! I remember watching the news of the Shuttle Columbia as I was finally signing up to join TGG community. Arguing over Hackett, mock drafts and a whole lot of BS
You sure answered his question lol. If you weren't there for Hornet, you probably wouldn't get it right?
Someone faking cancer is worse than pathetic. This was before my time. What was this about? Why would someone do that?
He wanted online attention? Someone on the site that knew him called the home phone, and his wife was confused, said he didn't have cancer at all. After that... Dude disappeared, and the "I call Hornet" meme on TGG was born.
Thanks. Man, that is sad and so strange! I wonder what his wife said to him after that call. Then again, she may have been part of the problem.
I think mvs and lazard could breakout. Rodgers seems more determined. D should be really good if healthy.
