Championship!! probably the best player they could get at this point. ( best being a relative term) guaranteed I talk myself in to using him a s a flex player somewhere around week 7
It’s never good when you walk into the worst WR room in the league and you’re not Even the second best player in it. Gotta hope he can find some of what made him intriguing a few years ago because we need it.
Would have preferred Kevin White, he signed with 49ers. I watched Steelers game last year, moncrief dropped like 3-4 easy balls, was cut shortly after. Hopefully he has fixed that issue! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Moncrief sucks. It's not much of a secret. But he's still a professional receiver unlike some of the pups and the David Clowney and Clyde Gates kind of guys we've had here. He has a drops problem as the poster above said. If he can fix it, he's serviceable.
At this rate, Sam will be on his second contract by the time he has an above average skill position group to work with.
Sam might not even get a second contract because we’ve done close to nothing to help him his first three years.
With roster cuts on horizon, l bet a couple more veteran options materialize. At least that’s the hope. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Biting my tongue real hard to not beat a dead horse w this offensive skill thing. I loved Moncrief coming out of draft.Took him several yrs to properly run routes & how to separate.Developed a drop problem along the way. He’ll likely start at the Z opposite Perriman.Poor Sam.
Historically there'a a bunch of UDFA guys who have made an impact at WR and even probowls. We need to find one this year.
His ability to produce as a pro at one point in the past is the only thing that has me even remotely optimistic about him joining the room. I’d rather have Doctson, which SCREAMS volumes
They're basically the same player with the same career outputs. Doctson is just younger and likely the less refined player. I don't really have a preference. But Moncrief is still fast as hell. He ran free a lot with the Steelers he just couldn't reel the ball in. This is likely his last shot. I like that about players sometimes.
Doctson is probably regretting opting out right now. He’s either be heading to IR or getting a bunch of snaps.
Kudos to you for trying. I know it's hard not to beat a dead horse. If he developed the drop problem, shouldn't he be able to fix that?
Nope. He is probably best thing out there right now. I wonder if we offered white, but he chose 49ers? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bleugh. Well at least he has “experience”. We don’t have a receiver with a single 1k yard season, do we? Le’veon is probably our WR1 at this stage.
