Anyone remember the two-a-day days at Hofstra? Great times. I would go to practice in the morning, then grab a bite to eat, go to the movies, and then return back for the second practice. Life was so different back then. I did not realize how great I had it! I am thankful for it now more than ever though.
I went to Hofstra for my freshman year (2003-04, ugh). Back when I actually used to run, I would run by the facility all the time just to listen to practice since we couldn’t actually see inside and then wait for all the players to come out. Some of them would just run or bike around campus. One day I got the balls to walk through the gates at like 8-9 at night just to see what it all looked like.... I saw Herm Edwards walking probably a solid 50 feet away from me and I bolted out of fear. Then I realized 18-19 year olds from Long Island/Staten Island/NJ are mostly insufferable and transferred. Either way, I wish I knew the Hofstra days were the good old days when they were happening.
They are trackers to record who they come in close proximity to . This way if someone comes up co-positive they can trace and isolate those who may be in risk without shutting down the whole thing.
Commonplace in soccer to wear them under jerseys. They can record all sorts of biometric data which team analysts use. Precise GPS tracking for route running can track speed, break points etc for example.
It’s hard to say that the deep ball is his weakness when for 2 years he has had very minimal opportunities to get rid of one protected and unmolested.
I think he’s second worst to only Josh Allen in deep ball accuracy the last two years. I agree with your sentiment, but he’s missed A few.
BTW, One Jets Drive is officially live with episode 1. 17 minutes https://www.newyorkjets.com/video/one-jets-drive
My father first took me in 1997 when it was still a sleepy setting w acouple small bleachers & a standung area that would get crowded for afternoon practices. That first time i sat next to Wayne Chrebet’s father who basically talked to us the entire practice(Jerald Sowell’s Wife sat 3 rows in front of us). i was hooked & went down to hofstra every summer i had the chance. That was a special time. The two times ive gone to florham park camp have been very enjoyable & well done. But not the same intimate charm of Hofstra.
Nice! That is really cool. Yeah, Hofstra was a special place for camp. I still haven't been to Florham Park, and clearly won't in 2020, but hopefully some day soon.
