Do you get that option in your job? This has nothing to do for the “safety” of his family. He’s playing the system because his contact is fully guaranteed. POS is probably on the phone having a laugh with JA
Mosleys making milliions of dollars a year and hes afraid to go to work? What about the people who are making 10$ an hour who havent stopped working since this thing started at resturants and other places...Can they opt out to?I lost alot of respect for Mosley...Trade him to...
Just brutal. In 6 days we lose our 2 best players and arguably 2 of the top 20 defenders in football. If Gregg gets this defense to look above average I’m fine with launching Gase into the sun and promoting him to HC regardless of the team’s record.
If Gase gets canned, Williams shouldn't be the replacement. He hasn't been a full time HC since 2003. There has to be a reason for that.
Mosley’s contract will slide back one season because of the opt out, so when he reports in 2021, he will still have four years left on his deal. The Jets already paid him a $1.5 million bonus, which will count against the team’s cap in 2020, but $16 million will come off the books until next season. Mosley will receive a stipend (either $350K or $150K) while opting out. The Jets already had $21,214,502 in projected cap space prior to Saturday, according to Over the Cap, and subtracting Mosley’s contract will balloon that number to more than $37 million. That would be second highest in the NFL, behind only the Cleveland Browns.
If the cap drops to 175m next season, there won't be many flashy free agent contracts. More like players having to take a cut in pay to get on a roster.
