DeAndre Jordan and Spencer Dinwiddie on the Nets testing positive this week. The problem isn't even the game of baseball - it's what players do off the field. It's pretty much impossible to travel interstate and not come in contact with the virus as well.

The NBA has the right idea but also has players dropping out left and right as they get infected.

Absolutely. It will be interesting to see what happens in soccer since they’ve gotten a head start on everyone.

I am not really excited either. The Mets blog has had a fake season going on all year using "the show" to play the games. I have found this fake season much more enjoyable than most Mets real seasons. Besides the Mets are 48 and 36 in the fake season no reason to end it for this real season.

If they keep this up, I may have to become a fake season ticket holder

Bobby Bonilla just got his yearly $1.19 million from the Mets. Last played in 2001.

Bobby Bonilla the only one in the world who loves Bernie Madoff.

If this is true just give the man the keys to the house already. I mean no one is gonna bid higher than that.

    Please please please.

Realistically, if someone does bid higher, Cohen will just go higher. The dude clearly wants the team.

The only thing standing in the way of this is the Wilpons' egos. Hopefully $4 billion will be enough to soothe the hurt of not being in the news any more.

All of this is massively bad news for the Mets if it's true - if the idiotic A-Rod/J-Lo offer wins it's a joke, and if the other owners blackball Cohen I hope he sues them into oblivion. I have a hunch the courts won't look too kindly at that sort of collusion, since it is clearly anticompetitive and has nothing to do with the health of the industry. Could be a wonderful way for them to lose their antitrust exemption.

The game felt so boring to me. Not sure if it was a combination of the Mets doing nothing offensively, no fans in the stands, or knowing it was an exhibition game.

If they start the season with two games like these, watch the panic set in! Hopefully they're better than this.
