Thank you for that title....I was clinically dead for 2 hours. anyway, hope this knocks the Bengals out.
Heh, that was a good one. This is certainly good news, in terms of Jets' playoff hopes, if it's true. The Bengals have plenty weapons at wideouts and a helluva RB in Rudi Johnson, but Carson Palmer is what makes that offense "go". Without him, you figure it'd be tough for the Bengals to win out against the likes of Denver and Pittsburgh.
I was stupid enough to think it was Pennington even though it's in the NFL Forum and not a 343213 page thread in the Jets forum. Mean, but funny. If this is true, very unfortunate. Between the knee and now this, Palmer can't catch a break.
I actually don't think it really affects the Jets playoff chances. Either Denver or Cinci was going to be eliminated anyways, since they play each other, and now, it just looks like it's more likely to be Cinci. If anything, it's actually bad for the Jets, cuz it's probably better for the Bengals to beat the Broncos, because their last game is Pittsburgh, a very losable game, where as the Broncos get to play the Niners for their last contest.
Same, hopefully he's ok. I am an NFL fan before I am a Jets fan. Never like to see one of the stars of the game go down.
You're right though, as long as NE wins we're ok regardless of the Bengals, someone has to lose that game. By the way, you're a Juventus fan? I've been getting into watching soccer this year with the Serie A games, but they are Serie B this year so I only see their highlights once a week.
ok, so say the Broncos run the table. All we need is Jacksonville to lose a game, then. Of course we have to beat Miami and Oakland.
Sorry to hear it, since I'm a decent human being. And as others have noted, it actually has little effect on the Jets one way or the other, since if NE beats Jax the Jets get in by winning out anyway.
Well sure, but isn't there a point where you can at least admit that an injury of a competing team's QB can greatly benefit the Jets?
Yep, I'm a Juve supporter, although I haven't been able to watch a single game this year =(, stupid Serie B. Who do you like in Italy? I absolutely hate Inter but it seems that they'll probably win the Scudetto. We'll be back next year though, so they better enjoy being at the top while they still can. By the way, how do you watch the Serie A games?
Bengals' Palmer practices, says shoulder's fine NFL.com wire reports CINCINNATI (Dec. 22, 2006) -- Carson Palmer fully participated in the Cincinnati Bengals ' practice Dec. 21, saying his passing shoulder was fine. Palmer was listed as probable for the game Dec. 24 in Denver. "Everything's great," he said before practice. "I'm going to practice today, I'm going to play on Sunday. I'm going to practice on Friday. Everything's good." Palmer was listed on the team's injury report this week for the first time all season. He didn't fully participate in practice Dec. 20, resting a stiff right shoulder. Palmer was sacked four times and hit hard several other times during a 34-16 loss in Indianapolis on Dec. 18. He landed on the shoulder when he was sacked and fumbled on the last play of the first half. He made an unexpectedly fast recovery from reconstructive knee surgery last January, and was ready for the opening game of the season. Palmer has been among the league's top passers in the second half of the season, and was picked for the Pro Bowl this week.
