Yeah, I forgot about Wesco. If he develops, especially as a receiver, then Herndon, Njoku and Wesco could be a great trio for the Jets.
Why not trade Adams for a solid pro-bowl lineman and a 1st rounder? Or an All-Pro lineman and a 2nd rounder?
I'm against trading Adams (I'd rather let him sit out the entire season), but I'd do La'ell Collins + a 1st round pick for Adams in a heartbeat.
I am not against trading anyone as long a it helps this team. Moving Adams because he is unhappy, is the wrong choice or the fans and the team. If we got an all pro lineman and a 1 st round then yes but for just picks that is a nope
Even found a way to work in your dislike of Gase into a thread about trading out best defensive player. Obsessed much?
Wesco is trash dude. He shouldn't have even been drafted. He can't block a thing in the NFL, he has slow feet and he's stiff and robotic as hell. I wouldn't count on him being worth anything more than a PAT team tightend.
yea weird that the coach would be a topic of conversation in a thread about a star player that wants to leave. Also weird that I’m the only one who pointed out Gase’s severe lack of ability in this thread. oh wait.
I doubt Collins is easily moveable at the moment but I can't say for sure about the contract structure. We want to avoid adding cash to the books. Collins should have a lot of good NFL years left since he's only 26 and he plays a durable position. This franchise needs to continue to be built on small contracts, pay homegrown talent that isn't asking for record breaking contracts and the accumulation of draft picks every year. It'd have to be a straight up swap. Collins is a stud.
He's not worth that. Few NFL players are. You'd be lucky to get an All-Pro lineman alone for a safety.
Me too. I would even trade Sam Darnold....but it would have to be for Mahomes! I am with you about getting a player that can contribute immediately too. Teams don't just give up those kind of players though, which makes trading Adams difficult. Plus his new team would have to consider extending him, so it is not as easy as Jamal thinks.
The Cowboys won’t want to let him go. He signed an extension just a year ago so for them it would be giving him a signing bonus just to play elsewhere, and then turn around and hand out another signing bonus to Adams. Would be a serious coup by Douglas if that ever happened.
Word thanks for the insight. I was actually going to tag you regarding it. I didn't think it'd make much sense from a franchise building standpoint from the Cowboys anyways. Tyron Smith is on the down slope, Zach Martin is starting to get banged up every year and Frederick just retired. Collins is the next centerpiece of their line.
The person with the problem is the one blindly hoping someone will do something that they haven’t done for five years in a row now.
Nah the one who has a problem is the one who obsesses over something that is completely out of their control and feels the need to post about it in every thread even the ones that have nothing to do with the obsession.
