The problem for me is the trust is now broken the other way. Adams acted like he lost trust from the Jets, but how can they ever trust him now with the way he has acted? How can you justify paying him $18-$20 million a year? You can't. It would be crazy. I don't think other players will follow his lead though. They must see how bad this makes him look. So trading him does give in to what he wants, but it also is the only logical move now for the Jets, besides just leaving his contract as is, which I doubt he will like. Him liking Cowboys tweets and talking to Maye in the past tense is beyond ridiculous, but he just never seems to stop.

I understand wanting a trade. I understand being anxious for a raise you deserve. I do not understand how you can have no leverage besides losing your paychecks by not playing, and specifically requesting certain teams you would be ok with. Who the fuck are you? God? We have to trade him at this point (barring a miracle in which the organization comes to its senses and fires Gase). But when we trade him, we have to consider (A) the best offer we can get, and (B) the destination he least wants to end up. Sure, if the Cowboys offer us multiple firsts, he can be a Cowboy. But if the Cowboys offer is comparable to that of, say, the Jaguars, we need to ship him to Jacksonville to show the other players that bullying the organization into trading you isn't a good idea.
