Thank you for a very good summary of a situation many on this board did not know about. The 1st hand experiences of his dads injury likely has always been in the back of Jamal's mind, they would be for you and I as well. That said, its part of the industry and a reason why these players make more money in a year then most make in 15-20! If Jamal had a career ending or life altering injury....all in gods plan. He has an insurance plan and a 23M contract that's guaranteed! (14M of which he's already secured in form of a signing bonus). If he never received another paycheck he'd be just fine...
I would just trade him to the Cowboys if they offer the most....I don't see the Cowboys winning anything paying Elliot, Prescott, Cooper, Lawrence, and Adams all top dollar ....I know dumb fans are obsessed with stars but it's impossible to stay competitive long term built that way.
Damn the Cowboys have so much talent and they still can't win big playoff games. Just goes to show you how hard it is to win big in this league.
Adams likely never wanted to play for the Jets. He grew up outside Dallas as a Cowboys fan and I think all along he's been thinking about how he'd make it so he'd end up playing for them.
Khalil Mack garnered 2 first rounders and a 6th rounder. Adams is not garnering even close to that kind of return haul. Be happy if we get a 1st and a 3rd. Or a first and a solid starter. I think that's best case return for Jamal.
Let him discuss a contract with the Cowboys; he might find out the money at greener on the other side.
Have heard tampering case w Dallas alluded to a handful of times. Can tampering charges be raised against an individual player as well? id love to see Jamal face a major fine & get suspended
Feels like he doesn't care about that truly. He will play out his 4th year and option on a new team. He just feels the Jets suck, and they are going to have to pay extra for a player of his ability. He wants them to overpay and do it now. His mindset is unreal.
As good as a player as he is he was still a bad pick. I’ve been saying since he started whining last season to trade him. If you can recoup a first and then get any additional talent, I’d call it a win.
This needs to happen ASAP. Cowboys clearly started shit to poison the relationship between Adams and the team. NFL needs to do more in situations like this. Seriously, trade his ass to a different NFC East team just to piss Adams off. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
has adams made the culture of the team toxic? have we heard people come out and say that things are messed up in the locker room because of this one guy? or is that just a nice buzz word people like to use far too often?
you mad bro? doing things just to piss current players off. youd think with the gasehole we would have enough reasons for guys not to want to be here. but hey lets be as petty as possible on top of it.
