Nothing happens to Fales. We get rid of Flacco!

Flacco's from South Jersey, looks like he just wants to stay close to home. Also, North Jersey is only a few hours from Baltimore if he still has a house in the area. Makes sense. Only place that's closer to his hometown is Philly.

Love this move! You guys know I have been wanting a solid back-up for Sam all off-season. Flacco isn't the most reliable to come off the bench due to his back and neck issues, but he is better than many other options, especially if he is ready to roll Week 1 like I read. You have a former Super Bowl champion and Super Bowl MVP in the QB's room to help Sam. Have to like that. He will help Morgan too. I believe that Super Bowl run Flacco threw 11 touchdowns and 0 interceptions too. Impressive. Have to like that contract too. $1.5 million with up to $3 million more in incentives. Completely fair. Didn't he make like $18 million last year in Denver? So overall, another solid move by Joe Douglas. :)

To be fair, the Jets have been starting back up level QBs from 2012 to 2018.

Watch these highlights and then remember what it was like watching Siemian and Falk last year. If Flacco is anything close to this, he would be a great back-up. Again, hope he doesn't have to play at all, but just in case.

Wait, what, we were 0-6 when Sam went down but Some people here hate Flacco because he has a dry personality? Who gives a fuck? He is a damned capable QB particularly in a back up role.
I’m not looking for fun and laughter, this is not SNL, I’m looking for a suitable back up. Fales is going into the practice squad and if some team wants it more power to him. It was a bargain to get Flacco as a back up. JD strikes big again.

Solid signing and for a helluva lot less than we paid Josh McCown.

You must have him confused with Neil O'Donnell. Hah, both are someone my Daddy would call a stiff. A stiff, that was always so hilarious to me. It has a few shades of meaning. Zero personality = a stiff. No talent = a stiff. Socially awkward = a stiff. And the obvious, the literal meaning of it, that being a corpse, which is why it's so funny.

Joe Flacco's a stiff, but at least his funeral expenses won't cost a lot. Much cheaper price tag.

Ha only morons hate the move!

0-6 with a punter playing QB

Now we have a SB winner playing QB as back up

    Whats the issue?

Most will have an issue this is great @ 7-9 LY we could have been BETTER with a non punter playing QB and maybe had darnold knocking on the door

Don't insult Tupa. Punters player better at qb than Falk did.

    Good move. I like it.

Brings Super Bowl experience and he's still at a age where if Darnold goes down again he could step in and be effective.

I don't get why people have an issue getting a competent guy as the back up. Who cares if he's no longer a starter quality guy, he's the BACKUP...

They are paying this guy around the same that they paid a completely washed up Brunell 10-12 years ago. This settles the QB room, allows Morgan to develop, provides depth behind Sam if he gets hurt, contracts covid-19, gets mono etc. and allows them to dump Fales to the scrap heap where he belongs.

I’m a fan of the move although I have to question the IQ of anyone that says they like Dowell Loggains.

He reminded me a lot of Testaverde when he was in Baltimore. His height, the way he's built & style of play.

If Darnold goes down again I could be having flashbacks.

I think Vinny was 35 too back in '98.

Ur right...we had 20 holes to fill. But after drafting Morgan we only have 19 to go!

How does the $3M incentive work against the cap?
