    Flacco is a douche bag, he wont be good for Sam Darnold from a developmental standpoint, but, he has starting experience obviously and he should be a quality backup option for worst case scenario purposes. Which I suppose is all you can really ask for from this Asshat.

    Well Douglas liked Joe Flacco in college..and surprise surprise he still likes him but only as a vet backup Iam sure (I hope?)...the Contract we gave him says it all imo

    Not a great or a bad move..this is called shopping for value

    Jeeze I guess I missed the chapter where a Flacco became a piece of shit. I know he’s drywall but I didn’t know he was a bad influence on the locker room.

    0-6 the last two seasons in games Darnold missed. Basically ended any chance of playoff contention both years

    A backup was needed

    EDIT - Jets backup QBs are 0-11 since 2016.

    1.5 mil guarenteed. 3 mil extra in incentives. great deal by JD
    1.5 mil for a solid vet backup
    if sam goes down he can earn an extra 3 mil by playing

    It is my understanding that Flacco is not the mentoring type. He will provide somewhat of an upgrade to what we had last year.

    To all those Jets fans that are trying to annoint him as a starter, what the hell are you thinking? Do you actually watch football?

    My guess is he's as good as gone by the time rosters get cut down to 53.

    And it’s 55 man rosters I believe.

    Flacco is purely a backup at this juncture. But I’d rather roll the dice on Flacco then Fales if Sam gets hurt for sure.

    he also had neck surgery which was bothering him, so hopefully he’s fully healthy to rock and roll.
