Name the years of the team & the great players U said played for us. U can leave off the HOF players like JWN Maynard & Martin
Al Atkinson, Larry Grantham, Randy Rasmussen, Jim Hudson, Ralph Baker, Gerry Philbin, Big Bad John Elliott, Matt Snell, John Riggins, Lance Mehl, Freeman McNeil, Al Toon, Joe Fields, Dan Alexander, Marvin Powell, Kyle Clifton, Johnny Hector, Mickey Shuler, Joe Klecko, Marty Lyons, Mark Gastineau, Mo Lewis, Darrelle Revis, Wesley Walker and about 100 more
Gastineau Klecko Martin Revis Mangold Mawae Chrebet Toon Mcneil 2010 1998 1985 Off the top of my head, plenty more players for the rest to name and shame you with, fucking Jets fan you're nothing more than a miserable internet troll.
I loved Kenny. His is the first Jets jersey I bought, back in 1988, and I still have it. I wore it to watch the Jets play the Dolphins in London in 2015, and I wore it see them play the Chiefs at Arrowhead in 1988. O'Brien didn't play in either game. He didn't play in London because he'd been retired for 20-odd years. He didn't play in KC because he was on the long downside of his career and Pat Ryan played instead. He was never the same after getting bicep tendiitis in the 1986 season, as well as losing all the living snot he once had in his body thanks to the ridiculous number of sacks he took. I hate it, HATE it when people say players didn't have fire or weren't brave. The man played for a decade in the most brutal team sport in the world and trotted out whenever he was asked to. What strikes me about Kenny, and Jets QBs in general, is how brief his golden age was. It's been the same with every quarterback I have watched under center for this team. He was very good in 1985 and he was unstoppable for ten weeks or so in 1986. After that he was never the same. He had flashes, but even in that incredible victory over the Giants at the end of the 1988 season that kicked Parcells' boys out of the playoffs, O'Brien was a shadow of his former self. Same with Testaverde. Awesome in 1998, then injured and an inconsistent player afterwards. Same with Penningtyon. Incredible in 2002, then injuries started to derail him. Favre looked great for a few weeks. Same with Sanchez to a degree. He looked like he was on a steady upward path in 2010 and 2011, but he fell apart. Let's hope Darnold has a longer golden age than a few weeks... Back on topic. I loved O'Brien.
You have such lo standards if any of the players U named were so great how come we have NOT won anything since Jan 12,1969
See again. Lot of teams haven't won in years. That doesn't diminish how good they were. Hell even the browns have had great players. Only 1 of 32 teams can win every year. Again if you only care about VLT rather than competing or having good teams and great player you should be a cheats fan.
From naming MG I would judge that U never ever saw a NYJ game Toon may have been but his medical stuff get in his way . Just think he was in the same draft as Rice so what do U say about that. Mangold was a tradee from Seattle. Mc Neil another medical Kevin M another tradee, Cherbert was OK but not a super star In the 3 teams U mention did U ever see them play & did they ever win a SB ?
The FACT IS FACT IS the goal of EVERY season is to win the SB Period I hope U know what facts are not BS FACTS
I give U Eliot cause he was on the SB 3 team MG was thrilling but a hinderance to the team Penaly Joe Klecko is a laugher
WTF You're even more deranged than I thought, what another awful post, you're having an absolute mare
Mangold was drafted by the Jets.. have you even watched the jets since 69? McNeil and Toon had medical issues but they were still both very good players. That's like saying Manning wasn't great because he hurt his neck. Chrebet (not Cherbert) was also great for us. Better than Keyshawn most would say. Mawae was a "tradee" but so was Brees. I bet Drew goes down and the all time bet Saints Qb regardless. Just because you are a moron and don't truly understand football don't put down the team. Go post on a Pat's forum where you belong troll.
Not every year is a competing year for any team. You build a team. Some years are rebuild year, some are learning a new playbook. Yes we have had bad coaches and sometimes bad teams. Sometimes we have gone on deep playoff runs.
Another dickhead comment and again a comment you have previously made not so long ago, the man was all-pro at two positions and pro bowl at a third but yeah he was a laugher and a penaly whatever the fuck that is. I do know what you meant I was just taking the piss out of your rage typing.
Look U like them & want to continue to think they are great wonderful terrific my opinion is different so I will bow out adios
