My initial reaction is a hard no because of the potential drama But I'm reminded of Randy Moss and what a head case he was before the Patriots So now i'm of mixed opinions and it all depends whether team (players and coaches) think they can get OBJ to focus on the right things
Yes. I'll give up our first 2021 for him too. 464 receptions, 6,511 receiving yards and 48 career TD receptions. Only 27 years age and has never had a prime SAM DARNOLD as his QB and Sam Darnold has never came close to having an OBJ. He would help us win a SB. QB: Sam Darnold. RB: Le'Veon Bell. WR1: Odell Beckham Jr. Slot: Jamison Crowder. TE: Chris Herndon. WR2: Denzel Mims. Those are 6 absolute studs on offense @ skilled player position(s) and a top 5 offensive attack within the makings. Behind a top 5-10 Defense? That offense wins us a Super Bowl. If N.E could give a diva Moss a chance during an almost undefeated season? Well then I'll give Beckham Jr. a chance ala we haven't won a freaking SB since 1968-1969 season lol and Odell is a top 10 WR All-Time; our kid QB would love him.. might even actually win a SB with him too...
God no. You need an established veteran quarterback to have a chance at managing OBJ's personality and even then you'll be lucky to keep him from being a whiney bitch. He'll also be 28 by mid season. The Packers need to stop being idiots and make a move for a player like him.
Bringing in OBJ would be the ultimate Adam Gase litmus test. We'd find out without a doubt whether or not he's capable of managing personalities. I'm pretty confident that Darnold would have no issues meshing with him. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
I respectfully refuse to trade any picks for a guy that is as far away from the type of player we need as it could possibly be. He is great on the field, impossible off the field.
I agree with this. Its been a long time since we had anywhere near an elite level offense. Not only would adding OBJ give Darnold a better weapon, it would spread out the opposition defense for the rest. Suddenly all of them would have way more space to work in. With Bell coming out of the backfield, a fit Herndon, Crowder in the Slot and a young stud in Mims and this is not even including a possible return of Enunwa and hopefully a much improved Line. We would suddenly have a very legit Offense. Yes he has Baggage. But So did Bell and he seems to have calmed down. I personally do it in a hearbeat.
I disagree, my friend. I don't think anyone is keeping OBJ in line. He has his own agenda, and it's all about him, not team. No way I want his poisonous attitude here soiling the waters.
That would be interesting. I can't see staid, traditional GB making a move like that, but it sure could help their offense to have OBJ and Adams, if they could co-exist. I'm not certain that they could, and don't know enough about LeFleur to know whether he'd be able to manage the situation. I could see their offense becoming all-time prolific (if they OL is good enough, which I'm not sure it is), or I could see Rodgers and OBJ having a huge blow up on field during the game. I'm not sure there would be enough balls to go around, either, between Adams, OBJ, Dillon, Jones, and any other offensive players they have.
We're in agreement that the team needs playmakers. If OBJ wasn't such a diva and was 2-3 years younger, then I'd trade the high draft pick it would take to get him, but not now. We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.
Name your top 10 All-Time. And then I'll look into the career numbers after only 6 years and I guarantee his production numbers will smoke many of your top 10 after their first 6 years. He's.... 3rd All-time in receiving yards per game (lol).
You don't find it weird that the current vote tally sits at 40 votes of no to 6 votes of yes and you are here posting this nonsense above? And by your statement, OBJ is better than Randy Moss, Jerry Rice, Larry Fitzgerald, Marvin Harrison, Calvin Jones, Cris Carter, Terrell Owens, Tim Brown, Isaac Bruce, James Lofton, Antonio Brown, Steve Largent, Lance Alworth, Don Hutson, etc. What in the fuck
That wasn't your comment. I still think your comment is horseshit, but you said OBJ is top 10 of all time. Not that his first 6 years are better than the first 6 years of the top 10 of all time LOL OBJ is not a top 10 of all time WR. No fuckin chance in hell. And I am pretty sure you can hold a vote on that and your statement would be obliterated
He's 3rd all time in receiving yards per game. Hello. And tally up the numbers and after 6 years his numbers smoke (per game) almost everyone you listed. PS who cares about these stupid poll votes lol I created a poll while Bell was a Steeler asking if he'll become a Jet? 20% such as myself said YES and 80% of TGG said NO so lol at your little poll .
