Forget the trade terms. Forget what is a fair trade for him. Think OBJ. His talents and his drama baggage along with it. Would you want him on the Jets.
If they didn’t get Mims I would consider it. Right now with the future contracts of Adams and eventually Darnold, I think we need to spend wisely from here on out. I much rather take a swing on Curtis Samuel who is rumored to be traded. I think we can move Williamson, Winters, or Anderson for him either straight up or for a day 3 pick next year.
I don't think I'd give up anything substantial for him, because I don't trust him to be a model citizen here. But if the Browns wanted to flip him for a third, I'd be thrilled. I have little doubt Douglas will find a way to recoup that third. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
I voted no. Listen, he be a fantastic addition to the field and lots of fun to watch. BUT, I just get the feeling he's entitled. I believe everything has come easy to him in life and he can get angry and disruptive if things don't go his way. I'm not sure he'd actually help Sam over the long haul. Santonio Holmes was amazing on the field, and amazingly cancerous everywhere else. OBJ just seems to me to be the opposite of the personalities JD is trying to build here. If we ended up with him of course I'd pray he'd turn into a great teammate. However I don't see a lot of love being thrown his way by his former or current mates.
If we have enough leaders and captains in the squad could we handle him? The on field talent is worth it... are our leaders and coaches enough to keep him in check? Also, would a third team in such a short space of time tell him something about the way he's going about things?
I voted no, but even if I wanted this to happen, no way Joe Douglas makes this move. OBJ is a prima donna and would not pair well with a young QB like Darnold nor the direction this franchise is going. There's already been tons of reports all last year regarding his unhappiness with Baker Mayfield and the team. I am not interested in giving that to Sam Darnold.
voted yes. just think to give Darnold his best shot to develop into what we all want he needs playmakers. Dont think the Notion of OBJ maturing & finding a true home here is out of the question. A risk no doubt but one worth exploring Adams,Bell & Mosley can keep this guy in check.
Calling ideas you don't like moronic especially when there are some Yes votes isn't cool. Just saying. A little respect goes a long way.
Yes. I'll give up our first 2021 for him too. 464 receptions, 6,511 receiving yards and 48 career TD receptions. Only 27 years age and has never had a prime SAM DARNOLD as his QB and Sam Darnold has never came close to having an OBJ. He would help us win a SB. QB: Sam Darnold. RB: Le'Veon Bell. WR1: Odell Beckham Jr. Slot: Jamison Crowder. TE: Chris Herndon. WR2: Denzel Mims. Those are 6 absolute studs on offense @ skilled player position(s) and a top 5 offensive attack within the makings. Behind a top 5-10 Defense? That offense wins us a Super Bowl. If N.E could give a diva Moss a chance during an almost undefeated season? Well then I'll give Beckham Jr. a chance ala we haven't won a freaking SB since 1969-1969 season lol and Odell is a top 10 WR All-Time; our kid QB would love him..
