Good God. I was at the Browns game where we laid an egg due to incompetent back QB's. Needed a decent QB with upside and we got one. Godspeed Morgan.
Can't hate the pick because I'll never forget how fast our season went down the drain when Sam went out with mono.
I was a Anthony Gordon fan but Morgan played well during the combines and the like. Big arm, solid developmental prospect.
Good pick. Smart kid. High character and big arm. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.si.com/.amp/nfl/2020/03/25/james-morgan-draft-deepest-qb-sleeper Good read.
Had somebody message me who saw him practice in person.Has a huge arm. He needs to work on his footwork & not looking so mechanical w his throwing motion.
I just can’t get excited about spending a fourth round pick on a guy who hopefully will never see the field when we have so many needs to address and so many guys available that could address those needs. Yes Fales sucks. He was also drafted once. Just because we draft someone doesn’t mean they are just going to be a competent player.
Hopefully he never has to play because Darold is awesome and healthy. Then in two years, after a bunch of great preseason games, he gets flipped for a first Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
I definitely feel this too and was annoyed at first, but then again we did watch our season go completely down the tubes last year when our QB went out. This one's a tough call for me, would have liked to pick up another WR instead, but we'll see happens.
He was one of the picks we got from New England. Wouldn’t it be karma. Vibes. Juju. Black magic, whatever you wanna believe in..... if the guy the Jets got with New England’s pick ends up thrust into action and becomes the next great NFL Quarterback for the NY Jets it’s been shared into the universe. May it manifest
Played for my guy Dino. Heard him interview on Sirius XM NFL. He is really well spoken and seems to have a great sense of self and sense of humor. Another Ginger for the QB room is always a plus.
fromm has like no upside to me. Lack of arm strength, he’s basically David Fales. At least Morgan has a big arm.
Pre-Draft Analysis Morgan is a natural leader with good toughness and size. He has a quick release and a strong arm. He flashes the ability to manipulate the coverage with his eyes, and his touchdown-to-interception ratio greatly improved over the past two seasons. He will force throws when he gets pressured. He's a streaky passer with below-average touch. He has adequate pocket mobility, but he's not much of a threat as a runner. -- Steve Muench
