The first fcking thing I said was is he related to QB Tony Eason, formerly of the Cheats?! My head shot around on a swivel when they said no, not that Tony Eason. LUCKY FOR YOU. Why lucky for you? Because you're a NE fan and you just happen to be standing there, that's why. You're a good egg, though. You've never trolled and contribute to the conversation. Funny thing about Cheats websites though, they're so overly sensitive. You get banned if you sneeze wrong. Oh, and especially if you're right. You can't even crack light-hearted jokes. BANNED. REASON: Making fun of kids with cancer. Uh, no, I used the word cheating in a sentence.
Supposedly Pats liked him too. Maybe Joe didn't want to take a chance to wait for 5th round to grab him. I also read that Jod D liked him a lot. Not mad anymore. We needed a backup QB and we got it.
We burned a pick on a guy we hope we never see, and if we do see him - spare for the second coming of Tom Brady - he's only a place holder until a healthy Darnold returns. I don't get spending draft capital this high on a guy you hope never sees the field.
McFarland probably. Fromm has a really weak arm and not much upside. Morgan has more IMO. Probably should have gone Hall or an OL Biadasz.
Yeah, he's not a bad pick as far as that goes, but I much preferred Gordon. Still, I agree with Vilma - better to take a young guy with starter ability than to rely on journeymen.
Kirwin: Huge arm. Needs to work on touch. this is the kind of guy you take. He went a little earlier than I thought. Good for him.
Obviously still multiple WRs on the board we like. If we would have had a competent back up last season we would have had a winning record. Defiantly needed to draft one to all those asking why QB.
I like the Perine pick. His a complimentary piece to Bell and will be here when Bell is inevitably cut next year. Jets needed a backup QB, I think they wanted Eason but he went to Indy a few picks earlier.
