Douglas is playing the odds by trading down draft capital for more quantity in a deep draft. They're not all going to hit, but your chances of the number of hits go up with more picks...as long as you know what you're doing.
Pats have a pretty decent track record of drafting TE's. If the Jets didn't love any players here, it's a good value for them.
Well that’s it for tonight. We have 13 picks tomorrow before the Jets. They will be picking 3 players between # 120 and # 129....those 3 picks will probably go a long way to seeing how exactly JD’s plan goes for this year’s draft. Personally, I’m looking for a WR, and inside OL, and maybe a RB. Outside chance of a CB...
I could be mistaken, but I think these are some of the best players that are left or at least ones whose names I know. WR Antonio Gandy-Golden Collin Johnson Tyler Johnson Donovan Peoples-Jones KJ Hill Kalijia Lipscomb Joe Reed Quintez Cephus RB Anthony McFarland Eno Benjamin Joshua Kelley QB Anthony Gordon Jacob Eason James Morgan Jake Fromm Steven Montez IOL Tyler Biadasz Netane Muti Nick Harris Akeem Adeniji Solomon Kindley Logan Stenberg Ben Bredeson OT Prince Tega Wanogho Ben Bartch Alex Taylor Trey Adams TE Brycen Hopkins Albert Okweugbunam Colby Parkinson CB Bryce Hall Kindle Vildor Troy Pride Lamar Jackson Edge Curtis Weaver Bradley Anae Alton Robinson DL??
Any one of the top 4 WRs on that list is just fine by me and I read JD had more than one meeting with Golden .... Biadasz and Stenberg I like ( both for Guard ) , Hall and Pride for CB - I think Jackson would still be around after the fourth round. McFarland is a decent RB and I think the Jets have been connected to Anae .....a lot of options should be on the table.
Given the remaining good WR and OL prospects it made a lot of sense to trade down and get those 2 4th rounders. Also they are so close together midround. They can get one of each and a RB or CB no problem.
Still some quality players and picks left for the Jets. Looking forward to the first four picks tomorrow where we can get WR, OL, RB and QB. Folks got to chill though as Joe made not made splashy moves but could garner some quality and depth players.
AGG, Tyler Johnson or KJ Hill at WR. All 3 can make the roster and contribute. Weaver at DE. Real knack for getting to the QB.
Hahahaha, old times/good times! I called you about two weeks ago, you punk! I was getting worried. God forbid if something was wrong and Woody the Cheapskate paid you a visit at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. :/
Can’t say I love the 3rd round -Ashtyn Davis feels more like a special teams pick to me, which is fine. Not sure what they want for him. -Zuniga. Hopefully he had a good attitude because it’s another UF DE. He’s quick twitch though. Fits the mold of edge rusher it seems but production wasn’t there. Ton of names today. The usual suspects. Bidasz, Robinson, People’s Jones
