If Jets hit on one of next three good, if they hit on two, awesome. Ultimately, draft is a numbers game.
I dunno people all exited about collecting 4th round long shots would have rather just got a better WR in the 2nd.
I’ve read several articles that mentioned he likes those mid round picks ..... like I said we’ll see tomorrow. He must be confident whoever he wants is going to be there. It’s a deep draft - the fourth round this year will be like a third round in a normal year. The bigger question is why NE gave up three picks for a marginal TE prospect.
Adam Gase and Belechik are apparently pretty close--Gase considers him a mentor of sorts. They are seen talking to each other quite a bit at events. Gase has been asked about ti before. That relationship has been obvious through the trades thus far. Not sure how I feel about it, but it's better than having no relevance like the Mac days where he never made trades because nobody knew him.
I could see giving up those picks for a QB, or maybe a can't miss skill position guy, but a TE? I'm happy they overpaid, but they really overpaid.
The highlight of Mo knocking out Bledsoe flashed in my head when I read we traded back with Pat's. I was sure they were getting there QB for next 20 years. No. It's another TE.
I swore the Pats were going to take him ... a few of the guys I wanted went to teams I despise so I swore PJ was going to NE...lol..ftr, I'm a MichFan
Exactly - 10 picks now. And I like I just wrote in another post it is a strong draft - a lot of decent talent in the fourth round this year.
No clue. I don’t think they are but there was a lot of chatter about them receiving calls on him. They might not be looking to move him at all. And it would absolutely take more than a fourth but I’d inquire. If he can make it to 120, I’d take him for sure. I don’t think he will.
Okay, but the trade down means we missed Claypool and Van Jefferson. I liked Mims over either of those guys. Considering Higgins and Pittman went right away, I wouldn't have traded up to take any of the others over Mims, either.
