And if Zuniga becomes Justin Houston then the draft looks a lot better. Have some faith. This guy has essentially done the complete opposite of our past two egghead general managers. He's collecting good football players in all facets of the game.

Considering that we traded down Mims is a B+

I have no clue how the Jets or other teams have players ranked at this point, but at WR I like Antonio Gandy-Golden, Collin Johnson, and Tyler Johnson.

Yeah, I didn't like the trade back and then taking Mims. I get he picked up an extra 3rd rounder but he burned tow of them on a Safety and a questionable Edge rusher who I think might've even gone UDFA. I can only hope he really does know how to evaluate players.

Maybe this entire Jets draft went downhill after they passed on Jeudy/Lamb. You know the Broncos and Cowboys are not complaining about the Jets decision.

RB or WR would be nice. Maybe a guard for depth

His pro comp is Robert Quinn. He’s significant faster and stronger than Polite. He also is a bigger dude. He looks to be a beast tbh and a lot of mocks had him gone by this selection.

    Becton A+
    Trade Down A+
    Mims A
    Davis D-
    Zuniga D-

That trade down could have been so good if they had picked Jones or Baun with the Davis pick and Edwards or Cushenberry with the Zuniga pick....

Goodell hit the bottle a little too hard in this last commercial break.

Yeah I think that grade for Mims is especially harsh. Presumably he would have been our pick pre-trade and instead we not only got him but what looks like a legit shot at an impact edge player in Zuninga.

I probably would have preferred taking that center instead but really how much more juice could you expect the Jets to squeeze out of that orange?

I'm pulling for Peoples-Jones. Don't think there's any thought behind that, it's just because he has a great football name. The draft is just like picking the ponies. If I was Jets GM I would go on great football names alone and I probably wouldn't do too bad.

Oh yeah I wasn't comparing him to Houston as a player. Just a later round edge rusher than turned out to be a stud even though he came with question marks.

I am trying to buy into the Davis pick but I really hate the Zuniga pick.

First three picks are solid; the last pick is hit or miss.

For $200 million, health insurance for life and a private jet I would think he could give us 6 sober hours of his time.
