I have a question: What would it cost for Joe Douglas to target the WR of his choice? Say package the #48 pick with _________ to move up to the early 40's or late 30's. Does it cost too much or is it reasonable?
According to the Draft Value chart: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/draft/draft_trade_value.htm Bengals 33rd overall pick is worth 580 points Jets 48th overall pick is worth 420 points To make up the 160 points difference, the Jets would need to give up their 4th rounder this year + another late round pick. I think Higgins is the only one left that I would trade up for. If Douglas isn't into Higgins or trading up then he should just sit until 48 overall and hope that Mims/Pittman/Shenault/Claypool fall. If Douglas is turned on by speed like he says he is, he may want Mims the most.
i will lose my shit if they Not only trade up but wait till at least tound 3 to get a WR.Its unacceptable
Dont want us going CB via a trade up. Would rather they cut Avery Williamson (Good player, but we have a ton of depth at ILB) after the draft to sign Logan Ryan.
If anything, at least he has a question mark next to the positions teams are trying to trade up for. It better be for a WR in our case.
We’re low-key OK (adequate) at WR IF we get atleast one tonight (In 2nd or 3rd) A stud number 1 remains a priority but I guess that will need to wait unless we hit the jackpot tonight
It is a funny thing as I had changed my mind and decided that one of the top WR's would be great, especially as he had improved the OL via FA but I probably jinxed you Kurt, many apologies. I hope a good WR is available but if Diggs is there I fear it will be trigger pulled.
i disagree. We dont have an “X” on the roster. Our best WR is an undersized slot & he also happens to be the only guy who can consistently separate. This current group is easily 32/32.They need to add at least 2 guys. Waiting till round 3 sends a horrible message.
