I say the pick at #11 will be Thomas - if he’s there. If not the Jets will try hard to trade down - then they’re looking at Jones or Ruggs. They have been connected to both those players .....

My gut is 100% certain that whatever the first pick, one thing is for absolute sure. For once we will get a top football player in a POSITION OF NEED.
We might love it, hate it, second guess it or be disappointed based on personal bias, (be it OL,WR,CB or Edge) but we will never be able to argue the critical need.
OMG, tell me it isn't so, such a radical draft departure from the past could make JD an instant winner.

If we are going to keep Adams, I believe it's going to be CJ Henderson. That's even if he makes it that far.

I would say all OT will be gone and now Jeudy has a purported knee injury.

I think Douglas can find more of the lunch pail type of OL in the 3rd and 4th round.

I would not rule out Trent Williams for a 3rd or Jason Peters as a stopgap.

Trade down to 15-20 range to pick up an extra 3rd.

    Draft OL Jones

I want to trade down but my guess is we do not.

After a run on OTs prior to our pick I think we take a WR.

While I think Jeudy is the better player my guess is that Lamb becomes a Jet.

I could live with the pick as we can and usually do a lot worse.

Later today I will share some of my thoughts and my final mock draft.

Given the depth at WR, taking Henderson might be one of the smartest things we could do besides trading down (I do think Jeudy is the better player but there is less depth at QB and there is a good chance Jeudy will be gone when we pick.

My gut wants one of Wirfs, Wills, or Lamb......maybe even Ruggs.
So I expect we will go with someone else altogether lol

I think we will go and grab Juedy and then he will be to thick to grasp Gase's system and his knee explodes in week 3 season 1, week 6 season 2 and then he is a bust and we are a still the Jets baby :D

My gut says C.J. Henderson because the Jets always fuck it up.

Have you seen him play? I watch plenty of Florida games since I live near Tampa. He is a solid cover corner. We had the worse corners in the league! I would rather have the 2nd best CB than the fourth or fifth best OL. Our 2nd or one of our 3rd rounders can be Wr. I love Mims and if you watch Claypool he is a devastating blocker.

Just my opinions of course as I advocated for trading Adams. If we trade Adams, we could have 2 or 3 first round picks depending on if we decide to trade back into the 1st round. Should be interesting.

I disagree with you that it's going to take a while for Becton to start in this league. IMO he and the other 3 top OTs will all be day one starters. They will all have their struggles, but they will all start.

That might make my head explode. LOL I don't think Douglas would be that stupid, but if he is, then he will be no better than Mac as a GM.

I think the other three are day one starters. Becton still has way too many technique issues, potential weight issues, learning how to win using more than just size now that he’s playing against pros. He’s borderline on my do not draft list today.

    I wouldn’t be disappointed with a WR/OT pick.

JD seems like a logical dude. He’s done a lot to address the line already, so that leaves WR to be addressed. It’s going to be a if not x then y scenario. I don’t think the top three OT picks will be there by 11, then that leaves Lamb or Jeudy.

My gut is telling me it’s going to be Lamb or Jeudy at 11.

This is the Jets annual day of Depression. Let's see if Douglas can change that mindset around here. Let's just get some good young pieces in here who can contribute this year. Enough of the future BS. Need some immediate contributors from this draft.
