Anyone watch the episode last night? Amazing episode. I don't think Kim will get killed, I do think she will disappear (wink wink vacuum guy)
I didn't pirate it yet. I mean, caugh caugh, watch it yet. This season has delivered on all cylinders.
Yes! Amazing episode, indeed. Felt the most like Breaking Bad yet! Reminded me of the Jesse/Walt episode in the desert. I don't know about Kim. I'd like her to live because I like her, but if she did die, and Jimmy was responsible, what else would he have to lose? It would make sense either way, but her death would be tragic and potentially a better pay off.
Amazing season thus far, with probably 1 more one left. Take your time, I've been watching too much TV, running out of things to watch.
I keep going back and forth, and I always think back to when Jesse / Walt / Jimmy first met and Jimmy mentioned Lalo, Lalo ruins Jimmy's life in some capacity. They could go either way for sure. I trust the writers to pull it off.
I thought he mentioned Ignacio, not Lalo . . . ? Meaning Nacho Varga. The actor who plays Lalo, btw, Tony Dalton, is so good. He's perfectly cast. He makes my skin crawl. Also agreed that it was a great episode. I said it from the very beginning, I suspect that Jesse Pinkman is going to at least make a cameo appearance in the background. The reason I say that is because I picked up on it immediately in the first season that when Jimmy was on a payphone, Jesse's initials were on it. Wait for it.
They both get referenced hahah even better, I forgot about Ignacio being mentioned. Tony Dalton has been fantastic since his arrival, he's too damn calm, and he really does bring a creepy presence to the show. We'll definitely see Jesse soon, perhaps towards the end of the series. Still think there's one more season left. You will love the latest episode if you are a fan of Mike BTW, dude goes Macgyver
I forgot about that scene from Breaking Bad while watching this week. Makes the show even better. It's amazing how intense and dramatic that episode was, despite us knowing that they clearly won't die. So well done.
Saw the finale tonight. Holy Shit, fckn Lalo. That guy has the blackest eyes, and the way the thunder cracked when they showed him shot and limping and stomping at the same time bristling with rage and revenge in the closing scene, absolutely brilliant. A++, here comes Season 6! Oh, and last week with Lalo, I was crapping pineapples, too. I was so nervous I started pacing like I do during Jets games. Obviously at some point Lalo is gonna bite it, but just like Tuco did in 'Breaking Bad', he steals every scene he's in. Tony Dalton deserves an Emmy. Oh, and buenas noches y bueno suerte, Nacho Vargas. In other words, goodnight, Irene. His father is so dead.
I can't believe I actually thought Lalo would die. Anyone got clown makeup? How about KIM!? Looks like shes Breaking Bad as well? PEW PEW
You need to become a producer at AMC, that is for sure! That was an intense ending. The last couple weeks I have been waiting to see if Nacho, Lalo, or Kim would die. Very intense. Such great writing and directing. I am not sure it makes sense for Kim to be acting this way, but she has been through a lot for sure. It's fascinating that we thought the show was about Jimmy going from good guy to Breaking Bad, but instead we were witnessing Kim and in many ways that is even more tragic!
Tdk tbh I think Kim is my favorite character in the entire universe, including BB. THEN Jessie, Mike.
No, no makeup, but there's room for two in my clown car! I just kind of took it as a given that he was getting offed, but as soon as Ignacio started sweating bullets that Lalo was up drinking by the fire instead of going to bed thereby throwing a monkey wrench into the plan, I literally sat on the edge of the couch because I knew all hell was gonna break loose. That scene was as tense as when Nacho had to toss the pills into Hector's pocket. I was shitting bricks both times. And then of course once they zoomed in on the pan of sizzling oil I said wow this cocksucker is making it out alive, hahaha. I think Juan Bolsa was in on the hit for sure. And yep, Kimmy definitely Broke Saul. Double entendre intended.
Another brilliant aspect of the writing for Kim this season was they hinted at so many directions. Sometimes it felt like she was going to die, other times it seemed like she was going to move on from Jimmy and possibly exit the show that way, but then to double down at the end of the season the way she did, just amazing to witness. Still can't get a complete read on her, but it seems like she is heading down a darker path now.
I can't believe Lalo freaking came back after escaping lol, that shit was so epic. Lalo is scary as hell man, dude leaps from the ledge onto that car, peaked his head into the escape route and cleared those guys with an automatic ... dude is just ridicolous. Saul enabled Kimmy's behavior from the very start too, now shes gonna pay the price, but the question is how? And we cannot forget whats happening with those future scenes too. When this is all said and done, can't wait to debate which seasons were the best in terms of breaking bad and better call saul. Lalo might be my favorite character in this damn universe.
Man I really loved season 5 but that finale left me with such blue balls. Kim and Nacho's fate has me super excited for season 6 and I'm rooting for them both.
Amazing first half to the Final Season! I loved how it all came together in the mid-season finale. Now we wait for July 11th for the beginning of the final 6 episodes. Time to really enter Breaking Bad territory.
