Round 1: Mekhi Becton-OT Louisville. Ultimately, we need a LT. Nobody knows how this plays out but I would expect Becton/Thomas to be the targets as Wills/Wirfs go early. Round 2: Tee Higgins-WR Clemson. Never did I think he would drop this far but with a low wonderlic score and not a lot of pre-draft hype, this could be a great get. May even warrant a slight trade-up if desired. Round 3: Lloyd Cushenberry-OG LSU. OL depth and starter. Check. Round 3: Alton Robinson-OLB Syracuse. Been in love with this prospect for awhile.
I love taking a guard as well as a tackle. I am a big advocate of 1 interior OL and OT and 2 WRs in the first 4 picks. But I cannot complain or be unhappy with your draft. While we upgraded at center with McGovern we really do not want to go into the season starting 2 backup lvl guards and tackles.
I like it. Our 3rd round pick you used for Lloyd Cushenberry-OG LSU may be used to trade up a few spots to get Becton. If Wills/Wirfs are both gone as you predict, and Becton falls to 8/9 range....
I like the Becton and Robinson picks. Higgins won't be there #48 and Cushenberry won't be there at #68.
If we can get Golden- Gandy WR in the 4th I am all for this mock! Possibly cut Winters (which I’m in favor of) especially if we get Cushenberry.
I watched highlights of Higgins and he catches everything. Has some nice run after catch ability. If the Jets go tackle in the first Higgins should be on their radar in the second. I would double up in the 3rd with another WR also.
