My user name has absolutely nothing to do with Adam Gase so that's a pretty stupid theory. I've also had season tickets in my family since the 60s, been going myself since the early 90s and plan to go on long after 2020. There's massive irony in you creating this thread to laugh at people... we're all laughing, just not WITH you. Do everyone a favor and go find a Panthers website to type a million words a minute on.
Don't hope for me. Hope for Sam Darnold and this offense. Who has a slot receiver Crowder and not a single deep threat WR anymore. 2011. Sanchez lost Edwards and Cotchery. Replaced by aging Plaxico and Mason. Offense went to complete crap after two back to back postseason runs. Did you hope for Sanchez back then too?
Actually I did.. to no avail. I would like to think JD has a bit more upstairs than that crew of idiots back in 2011. With JD restocking the OL which hopefully goes from God-awful to adequate, he has the luxury to draft a elite WR early and still get help with the other 7 picks we have. This may be addition by subtraction. RA was a good Jet and a good WR, but I dunno if he was $12m good.
I have a theory... maybe far fetched but listen. April 30th, 2016, Robby Anderson goes undrafted. His agent tells him which teams are interested that afternoon. April 30th, 2016, DWC joins TGG. May 5, a couple of days after, Robby gets to Officially sign. DWC is RA
I don't like Perriman nearly half as much as I did Anderson, but like Anderson he's blazing fast and now I really hope to land Breshad out of need; because as of right now we literally do not have a speed burning demon of a deep threat on the outside in order to stretch the field for Darnold vertically and we need one before heading into this up coming draft.
I think it says a lot about the front offices feeling towards Robbie that the transition tag for 15mill was not used. They clearly didnt believe he was that essential to Sam and let him test the market. B grade player gets a B grade contract which is about right, one i would have given too him though. Will be interesting to see in the next few days, if our offer comes out in the press. Sent from my SM-G610Y using Tapatalk
JD is gonna go OT, WR X2, another OL, and probably a CB within the first 4 rounds. The OT will be at #11, not sure exactly where the other positions will be drafted but the Jets will be taking advantage of the stocked positions - OL and WR. I think the Jets were drafting 2 WRs before Robby left......now they definitely are.
Now I can officially say that Robby Anderson is NOT one of my favorite All-Time Jets WR's. He was a solid #2 WR on a team that never was close to the playoffs and had a poor offense the majority of the time. I don't blame him for that, but I will not look back on the Robby Anderson Jets era with fondness. It was brutal. He wasn't the problem though.
He's basically at the bottom of the list of these guys who had at least 14.9 yds/catch last year. Almost all of these guys had more total yards and most had more td's: Name Yds Yds/c TD 1 Robby Anderson 779 14.98 5 2 Amari Cooper 1189 15.05 8 3 Randall Cobb 828 15.05 3 4 Courtland Sutton 1112 15.44 6 5 Chris Godwin 1333 15.50 9 6 D.K. Metcalf 900 15.52 7 7 Terry McLaurin 919 15.84 7 8 Chris Conley 775 16.49 5 9 DeVante Parker 1202 16.69 9 10 Michael Gallup 1107 16.77 6 11 Mike Evans 1157 17.27 8 12 Stefon Diggs 1130 17.94 6 13 Kenny Golladay 1190 18.31 11 14 A.J. Brown 1051 20.21 8 15 Mike Williams 1001 20.43 3 Looks like he's the poor man's Chris Conley. I think I can get over this. Ron
Maynard, Sauer, Caster, Barkum, Walker, Toon, Moore, Chrebet, Keyshawn, Coles. Anderson can't hold anyone of those guys' jockstraps. And all of these guys played during an era where you can tee off on WRs and not get a penalty. Today's receivers are playing flag football compared to these dudes.
You're crazy. These guys aren't playing flag football out there in today's game (it's still a violent sport). These linebackers of today would have murdered offensive players of the 1960's etc.
Back from the dead for you bunch of know it all's wgo laughed at my appreciation and respect for my boy Robby hot wheels Anderson. Boy oh boy did Sam Darnold miss his favorite WR weapon TODAY!! What the fk did all you bargain shoppers get in return from 1st round BUST Perriman today? Fk you Joe Douglas you cheat O-Lineman you and fk you again for passing on my kid prospects Jerry Jeudy and Lamb! Robby Anderson? Today in Carolina? Lololohaha wtf! 6 receptions, 115 receiving yards, 1 TD reception and a game breaking 75 yd reception lol Some of you guys questioning me lol you guys don't know WR talent why because Key and Moss were the last 1st round WRs we drafted hah and you guys wanted to move an undrafted GEM??!? And I'm clueless? Ha! Bring back Robby. Draft Jeudy/Lamb. Sam would have weapons but NOPPPEEEEE FK YOU JD AND for EVERYONE WHO WANTED ROBBY GONE FK YOU TOO. And the ones who didn't want JD cheap prick to pay #33 Adams? I hope you enjoyed our seconds and defense against JOSH ALLEN TODAY because #33 just feasted with Seattle.
After 3 weeks Robby ranks 6th in receiving yards and has caught 20 of 24 pass attempts. One of my all time favorite Jet receivers and JD let him walk and instead signed a former FIRST ROUND BUST in Periman instead of locking up an undrafted GEM. JD deserves to be fired right alongside of Gase. The way he eliminated Jamal and Robby was and is criminal.
When it lasts more than four hours your supposed to see a doctor. I mean, you do watch football on TV, right?
Yup. Cause Sam won sooooooo many games with Robby. Look, I like Robby. But franchising him at 19 million was ridiculous. If we could've resigned him for what the Panthers paid, I'd be okay with that. Not sure it was ever on the table for the Jets though. And neither do you. So shut the fuck up about it already.
