Great players aren’t on the market over a week into free agency. Good players who want to be paid like great players are.

I’d like to see them take a chance on Trey Adams if he’s still around in the 6th round....

Looks like Miles maybe on his way out at this point. Jackson, Farley, and Christian are the backups.

We got a lot more out of Miles than I ever thought we would, but he's pretty slow and a limited player, although he plays hard and with a lot of heart.

Do you really think an honest man of the people like this is going to fall that far?

Yeah, I agree. Ficken and Maher are not guarantees. I hope Maher regains his old form, but you never know. Gostkowski is a great kicker. Coming off injury, but I would give him a chance.

Yeah, the Jets absolutely need to give him a chance. It's a huge plus he's kicked in the same weather conditions AND venues.

Assuming he's healthy, this is a huge upgrade.

Interesting update. It seems as though Williams is putting the pressure on. I still doubt he will be released, but the draft compensation may quickly become more reasonable.

I’m very hesitant on a move like this, even before FA started. The nice thing about Joe Douglas’ move with Fant is that it is not prohibitive of a move like this, if he feels it is in the best interest of the Jets to do so.

Please do not come at me if you don’t want Williams, I am just updating.

Funny. Because Clowney has already turned down the Miami Dolphins who offered $17M per season and it was Clowney who rejected and said no (not the other way around, you little know it all genius").

Now, what were you saying again in regards to Clowney's self made availability? Nothing worse than a know it all, who knows nothing.

Moss the greatest WR of All-Time imo behind maybe only Jerry Rice was traded away to N.E for only a 4th or 5th round draft pick. That 4th round pick did not mean Moss was not great, now did it?

And Clowney still being an available FA doesn't take away nor diminish his overall greatness with run stuffing/pass rushing ability combined because his current team the Seahawks have already made him an offer of over $17M per. And only great players get $17M per year offers in FA.

You like to state that others have no reading comprehension but you have a severe issue with understanding your own remarks.

I don't give a flying fuck what ex Dolphins players said about Adam Gase. I don't give a fuck what they said then nor do I give a fuck what they say now. In fact, I could even point you to many compliments he received at that time from other Dolphins players. All of that is irrelevant to the point you made.

How does any of that translate to guys turning the Jets down because of Adam Gase today? Today. As the Jets head coach. I'll say it again, all I have read is that Douglas is not pursuing guys asking for too much and players are not getting any movement from Douglas. Not the other way around.

Hours later, I am still waiting for your evidence that Gase is causing players to turn away from the Jets and decline their offers. You can keep pointing to Gase's past all you want, but I live in today's world with today's players and today's free agency market. Point me to that evidence that made you spew that horseshit.

Show me where a PLAYER said that they will not play for the Jets in 2020 because of Adam Gase.

    Wtf are you talking about?

The time a player is on the free agency market dictates whether he is great or good? If a player is seeking $20 million and is turning down offers slightly below that, that doesn't make him good as opposed to great. That just means he wants more money than the market dictates. That has no bearing on the players ability.

By this logic a great player can go into free agency and request $50 million per year and if no one agrees to pay him that in a week, then he's just good.

Is a great player still great if he is on the market for 10 days as opposed to 7? What about 8 days? LOL

It might be worth a flyer but I'm concerned with his hip injury. That could be a rough injury to recover fully from as a kicker. I'm assuming New England saw something that turned them off although it could just be for the cap savings.

I would, don't want to go through another season with Ficken. Maybe Gostkowski isn't what he used to be but he's still better than Ficken no doubt.

Everything I read was the 3m cap savings and that they are going to try to bring him back on a team friendly deal.

We could potentially steal him with a better offer.

If that is true, then 100% I would try and grab him. A good kicker is very important, something we are all very understanding of LOL
