Adam Gase with two different franchises (Mia/NYJ) after 4 years has the same exact record as Bill Belichick had after 4 years with two different franchises (CLE/N.E). Well. O.k. Not the same exact record because Gase has only 1 less win than Belly had after 4 years. Jesus Christ. Give him an O-Line who can create for Bell and an O-Line who can protect Sam Darnold in order for his plays to develop before attacking his "play calling ability". Kind of hard to call plays behind a shit O-Line isn't it?
So is the fact that this clown is HC here hampering the Jets in free agency or am I seeing things that aren't there?
It’s definitely part of it. He’s a proven loser, not well liked, and very likely gone soon. Attracting players here is gonna require overspending.
Going to the media and publicly throwing your own players under the bus and taking no personal responsibility for your team's poor play was a terrible look for Gase and the Jets. I'm sure no players or agents will come right out and tell JD that during free agency negotiations, but I'm sure there are plenty of players who just scratched the Jets of the list as a free agency destination with Gase there, and others who will demand more coin to sign with the Jets. A Gase Differential so to speak.
Gase is a fuckin beast. Looking forward to watching people hang off his every word in year 2 of the program. I don't believe a single thing that Mehta writes about this guy. Thank Christ he had that dimwit Maccagnan fired. He deserves a fuckin extension for that alone.
Plus Gase has 7 rings as a HC to Belichick's measly 6. Still waiting for that platinum joint to drop......
I think most people are trying to act like that never happened... I keep trying to act like he isn't the coach in NYJ, hoping we have a good year. Maybe Douglas can get it done.
Yes. Think he went something like 5-1 against Toilet Todd and Dumbcagnan while he was there. I don't think he's a genius or anything, just much better than people here are saying. I think it's clear Manish Mehta has some sort of agenda against him trying to turn people against him, and it's working.
The there is a group of fans that never wanted him hired and never liked him in the first place. He has done nothing without a hall of fame qb that changed his calls. How can anyone stand behind this offensive genius when his offense ranks just about last in every category is beyond me. Just because he beat a bad coach does not make him even an average coach
