    1. CIN: Joe Burrow, QB, LSU
    -It’s gonna happen.

    2. WAS: Chase Young, Edge, Ohio State
-Rivera is a defensive coach, so I doubt there’s any chance they go QB here.

    3. DET: Jeffrey Okudah, CB, Ohio State
-Isaiah Simmons is great but doesn’t have 3rd overall value in Patricia’s defense. In a deep draft I don’t see anyone trading up for this pick.

    4. NYG: Jedrick Wills, OT, Alabama
-Gettleman manages to not overthink this pick and drafts one of the big time tackles.

    5. MIA: Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon
-The Dolphins like Herbert’s experience, talent, and lack of injury history. They won’t get cute, and grab they’re guy now while they can.

    TRADE
6: LAC—>JAC: Isaiah Simmons, ILB, Clemson
-The Jaguars can’t afford to see Simmons go elsewhere after he makes it out of the top 5. His fit in their scheme is perfection.

    7. CAR: Derrick Brown, DT, Auburn
-Rhule would have liked Simmons, but he’s happy to address his trenches with a nasty DT.

    8. ARI: Ceedee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma
-Kingsburry has watched Lamb in the big 12 before he came to Arizona. He can’t pass up the opportunity to add him to Murray’s arsenal.

    9. LAC: Mekhi Becton, OT, Louisville
-The Chargers love his power, and are ready to hit the ground running (sorry for that terrible pun.)

    10. CLE: Andrew Thomas, OT,
-The Browns take the most pro-ready LT to protect Baker Mayfield.

    TRADE
    11. NYJ—>LV: Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama
-The Raiders have to slide up one spot to make sure the Buccaneers don’t get him first.

    12. NYJ: Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama
-The Jets select an immediate #1 receiver for Sam Darnold.

    TRADE
    13. IND—>PHI: Henry Ruggs, WR, Alabama
-The Eagles make their move for a guy that can change their offense.

    14. TB: Jordan Love, QB, Utah State
-The Bucs don’t get Tua, but they grab Jordan Love and are happy about it at 14.

    15. DEN: Justin Jefferson, WR, LSU
-Jefferson is a great pairing with Sutton for Drew Lock’s 1st full year.

    16. ATL: K’Lavonn Chaisson, Edge, LSU
-The Falcons know they need a pass rush to get one more Super Bowl window before Matt Ryan ages out.

    17. DAL: Javon Kinlaw, DT, South Carolina
-Jerry Jones keeps working on the trenches, and knows that will help the back end of his defense. Kinlaw is too good to pass.

    18. MIA: Tristan Wirfs, OT, Iowa
-The Dolphins are excited to get a great player who fell for know reason besides tackle depth.

    TRADE
    19. LV—>IND: CJ Henderson, CB, Florida
-The Colts are happy to hop over the Jags to grab the best remaining CB.

    20. JAC: Kristian Fulton, CB, LSU
-The Jags are still happy with the talented Fulton to add to their defense.

    21. LV: Patrick Queen, ILB, LSU
-The Raiders get have now addressed each level of their defense in the last two years with core players.

    TRADE
    22. BAL: Kenneth Murray, ILB, Oklahoma
-The Ravens need an inside force, and Murray has the size and speed they’ll covet.

    23. NE: AJ Epenesa, Edge, Iowa
-The Patriots can add weapons in various ways, but taking the best remaining player is the Patriot’s way.

    24. NO: Xavier McKinney, S, Alabama
-A high quality safety helps every player on the defense get better in NOLA.

    25. MIN: Trevon Diggs, CB, Alabama
-The Vikings create a better team dynamic and also add the best player available which happens to be a position of need.

    26. MIA: D’Andre Swift, RB, Georgia
-Any position is a need, but this makes Herbert’s life so much easier.

    27. SEA: Josh Jones, OT, Houston
-Seattle is tempted to grab a safety, but they need strength at the offensive line.

    28. BUF: Tee Higgins, WR, Clemson
-The perfect compliment to John Brown and Cole Beasley.

    29. TEN: Austin Jackson, OT, USC
-The Titans can replace Conklin with a much cheaper player.

    30. GB: Denzel Mimms, WR, Baylor
-Rodgers needs weapons, and he is still your best chance to win championships.

    TRADE
    31. SF—>MIA: Yetur Gross-Matos, Edge, Penn State
-Miami knows it’s time to get a pass rusher now that they’ve invested in the offense.

    TRADE
    32. KC—>LAC: Jalen Hurts, QB, Oklahoma
-The Chargers get their guy, who can get ready behind Tyrod Taylor.

Love the mock draft - 2 points:

With the Cards just obtaining a #1 WR in Hopkins, just can't see them taking another with their 8th so Lamb and Jeudy may be there at 11.

Giants need an all-around play maker on their defensive side so if Isiah Simmons is there they have to take him. I can't see them doing OL at that pick.

They also have to protect their young QB.

Yes, they do - just that Simmons gives them something their D needs - a LB that has that all around game breaking ability they haven't
had since L. Taylor. It's a tough call but at 4 I think Simmons is the BPA.

I hope that you're right! That will mean an OT will probably fall to #11 as well as one of Lamb/Jeudy, and Douglas will have his choice.

Right now he'd have to be leaning OT if available I would think......

Not necessarily. I believe that Douglas said earlier that he would be comfortable with Edoga starting. That would be Fant and Edoga at tackle. I'm torn, I'd love to add Becton or Thomas, but would also love to add Lamb or Jeudy.

I'm torn too but deep down, I just can't fathom the idea of JD throwing the dice for the 2020 season on having Fant and Edoga as the starting Tackles. That would be a disappointing accomplishment. If he doesn't sign one , it's just too much a no-brainer that the #1 pick will be one and perhaps a WR with the #2.

I do these for fun, certainly nothing before FA should be taken remotely seriously.
