If it fell like that jeudy should be the pick, but I’m watching the board and seeing if I can move back up for Jones or Jackson
I don't see any other pick if Jeudy's there. He's gotta be the guy. He's a better prospect than Amari Cooper was. I just can't see Jeudy falling past teams like the Cardinals, Panthers, Giants, and even the Jags. He's the next superstar receiver in this league.
I've been all about making the best LT the pick at #11, but the more I think about it, I'm swinging back to taking Jeudy or Lamb if they're there. The OL WILL get upgraded one way or the other, but landing a true superstar in the making is an opportunity they can't pass up. Besides, his ability to get open and catch passes will make the OL better. But I don't think Jeudy will fall that far.
Lamb is the guy at 11. He can make plays with the ball in his hands that Jeudy can't. He can also adjust on the ball and high point it like very few can. Forget straight away speed and combine BS, Lamb's just a baller. Kid's going to be a headliner.
I voted for Lamb. I love Jeudy but Lamb fits Gases Offense better. Quick short passes and let the WR do the work with YACs. He gets quick speration and can fight off defenders if pressed at the line.
I voted lamb but I would take Jeudy too over the top 4 ol. We need a star on offense.get OL in fa. And come back in round 2 and grab OL.
When it comes to talent like these two take the guy with great hands. Sam Darnold is going to make a lot of throws in traffic and where the receiver has minimal separation. That's his ability to read and react to narrow windows. I'd make it a priority to get guys who are going to play to our QB's strengths and minimize his weaknesses and Lamb is likely better suited to be on the receiving end of those quick contested throws. If Robby Anderson comes back to earth and signs a reasonable deal this becomes a no-brainer.
That's a nice-looking board - and who wouldn't like Jeudy. My draft board would look like this 1. A 2. Talented 3. Brute 4. Of 5. An 6. Offensive 7. Tackle
Can't go wrong with elite and i mean ELITE route running ability. He destroyed the SEC as a WR with greatness as a route runner. He's the real deal. He has literally zero bust percentage and all the traits of an upcoming NFL superstar @ the WR position and imo way better than Julio Jones coming out of Bama. I'm going to be very sad when he gets drafted right before us. There is zero chance he's on the board when we select.
I get it, we need OL. I certainly would understand if one of the 4 OTs are the pick at 11. Jeudy is a better prospect than any of them though and is up there with Young & Okudah as the best talents in the draft. Hoping Jeudy & at least one OT makes it to 11. Would be very interested to see which way JD goes.
I'm hoping teams to go QB happy during the first 10 picks with defensive players and O-Lineman galore leading up to our Jets pick. We can use a lot of our higher draft picks and focus our free agency on O-Line but for our 1st round pick I'm praying that Jeudy falls into the laps of Sam Darnold. P.Manning loved a great route runner in Marvin Harrison and Sam Darnold would love Jeudy, who reminds me of Harrison; due to their greatness with route running ability.
I'd be fine with either of them but I'd like to take the guy who has the hands and proven ability to make plays after the catch.
Lamb is a better fit not only for Gase's offense, but for Sam's penchant for throwing the ball into tight windows. Neither is Jeudy's forte.
I get the love for Jeudy, but he would be wasted in the Jets' offense. Lamb is a much better fit. He's only marginally slower, has better hands, is great on contested catches, and is much better with the ball in his hands.
