Dal Colle in the lineup once again and the only shake up / change I see is Dobson with Leddy,,,,,,simply amazing that Trotz refuses to shake things up and continues with a losing formula. Its a recipe for failure
Dobson's reappearance was expected, as they have no one else to replace Boychuk. As far as Dal Colle, I am slowly losing faith in Trotz and his system...
I have not lost faith in Trotz or his system but I have lost faith in the players who are attempting rather badly to play within his system. Lou is another story as I understand that the guy had his hands tied when he got here because of Garth Snow but I am more of a non believer in Lou now a days.
They were successful with these guys last year, I understand why they felt confident with same group, difference this year, no one is taking them for granted. Every team comes ready to play hard against the Islanders.
Menace not only what you said but the effort the team puts out each nite is not even close to how well they played last year,,,,,,they play very very sloppy which rarely happened last year. The Goaltending IMO is also nowhere near what it was last year.
I mentioned it before Lehner was a must sign, he brought a chemistry to the defensive end that this year is not there. I just saw Rangers, Zebanejad score 5 goals for them, absolutely dominating effort by him. Yet here are the islanders playing like it’s pickup hockey.
Can't win hockey games when there's only one quality player on offense (Barzal) Also, this year's goaltending is nowhere near what they had last year
These games are a godsend they are putting us out of our misery,,,,better now than to squeak into the playoffs and get destroyed by Boston or Tampa
