Adam Silver loves to tout bringing ideas from international soccer into the NBA. He should start by relegating the Knicks to the G League.
I used to love the Knicks..... but that's gone and thanks to this douche it has killed my interest in the NBA as a whole
Same here...the NBA is a playoff league so if you have no interest in the local team the NBA doesn't really exist till June...let's not also forget Phil Jackson was a dumpster fire that acted like a complete douche also.
Well said. The issues with the NBA in a nutshell. Not to mention there are really only 4-5 teams in total left fighting for playoff spots by the all-star break. And they're just fighting to get the 7 or 8 seed and get swept out of the first round. The MLB and NHL have extremely long and monotonous seasons too. But they have parity in terms of the lower seeds having a good shot at winning in the first round and going all the way. Even if it doesn't always happen. The Magic (8 seed) have got to be 10,000-1 odds to win the East. And that might be a little generous. I'm a Nets fan and could care less about watching regular season games even with Kyrie (douche) and Durant here now.
Exactly you hit all of the NBAs flaws....the regular season is completely meaningless when only 3 or 4 teams have a realistic chance at winning the chip....add load management, no effort on defense, and jacking up 50 3s a game watching a regular season NBA game is like watching a scrimmage...the league basically lives off drama and superstars.
The East has been so shitty for so long. I remember like 15 years ago thinking how bad the Eastern Conference is and how much better and more interesting the NBA is gonna be once the east is good and NY, Philly, Chicago & Boston have great teams and great rivalries again. 15 years later and the East is STILL shitty!!!
https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost...es-oakley-blames-knicks-failure-on-ewing/amp/ Knicks fans can’t even have fond memories of the 90’s team now. Ewing may never have been as dominant as MJ, Magic or Bird, but he was never the reason why the team didn’t win (‘95 finger roll against the Pacers not withstanding). When the second best player on your team is capable of going 1 for 1000 in game 7 of the Finals, you don’t have the supporting cast to propel you to championship. Though I still contend there was no reason to bring him back against the Pacers in ‘99; the team was on a roll without him. They should have waited to bring him back for the Finals; we just needed one big body to offset Robinson or Duncan in that series and could have won.
Knicks choked so hard during that series ... do I have to put on Charles Smith missing layup after layup in Game 3? Missed free throws?
That game was brutal; Smith’s layups rightfully get the blame but the Knicks led the entire game and had many chances to extend the lead, but missed layups and free throws throughout the second half. what’s the likelihood Charles Smith even hits his free throws with the game on the line if he goes up strong and get fouled? That team needed Xavier McDaniels to resign after ‘92.

Watching "The Last Dance" kinda hurts......... hard to believe this team was perennially competitive and not a shitshow at one point in my life. So close but not close enough..... seems like ancient memories now
