the schedule aint that hard. Look at the home games, you are scared by the Broncos and Cardinals? come on now. Other than the 49ers that's a pretty easy home schedule. The road is a different story but most playoff teams only win 3 or so road games anyway.
Lmao this board is amazing. Really? Denver, Arizona, St Louis? These are not great teams Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
I guess they don't realize Brady's last pass as a Patriot was a pick-6. He's done as a Patriot. He's refused to re sign with N.E and today announced he's hitting the free agent market. Bill Belichick is well below .500 without Brady. Belichick had a career losing record as head coach while heading into his 7th season. And then Brady happened. The New England Patriots without Tom Brady will become the New England Patriots before Tom Brady; they do not and will not scare me when looking at our schedule anymore. That "#1 Defense" won't be shit without an efficient QB within the form of a robot not only moving the chains, givings them early leads, keeping them off the field but also even on failed drives being able to play defense while the other teams have horrible field position; Brady doesn't turn the ball over often. What happened to the Jets after we lost Joe Namath? What happened to Buffalo after losing Jim Kelly? What happened to Miami after losing Dan Marino? You're clueless if you think N.E can replace Tom Brady without an awful drought in between. I don't see no Aaron Rodgers waiting in the shadows of Favre, no Young behind Montana or even Lamar Jackson waiting in the wings behind Joe Flacco. They are fucked. What will happen to Bill Belichick without Tom Brady is his Cleveland Browns days and what is going to happen to N.E after losing Brady will be what happened to NYJ, MIA & BUF after losing Namath, Marino and Kelly. N.E Patriots x2? Without Brady? Two easy wins for Darnold and NYJ. Our defense will destroy a Bradyless offense because you aren't going to run on us. Good luck passing with a JAG under Center. Belly couldn't win with Vinny T.
Maybe 5-3 at home? Maybe... too early to tell regarding what schedule is easy and what is brutal. We have no clue what NE is going to be this year. Or the Browns & Raiders for that matter. Denver is very beatable and so is Arizona
Chiefs, 49ers, and Seahawks are the only teams I see as a loss. All other teams are tough but beatable for the Jets. I'd say 8 wins.
Eh.... the schedule looks daunting on paper but way too early to start counting wins and losses. Let's see what the Jets put out there for an OL first. Injuries will be a major factor too as well as travel ( we'll find out actual dates in April ). A lot of ups and downs in an NFL schedule once the games begin. As of now it's a piece of paper.
We won more games during the 2nd half than any team outside of Baltimore @ 6-2. The Jets aren't a free win.
Watch them sign Rivers or Newton or Brees or heck trade for Stafford or Dalton if they finally move on from Brady. Lotsa GOOD veteran QBs could be available this offseason. Some might be a little long in the tooth but still gas left in the tank. They could end up signing two Qbs for the same price some of these other insane teams are paying their QB. A vet like Rivers or Newton & a young reclamation project like Mariota or Carr. It sucks but it is what it is.
I always look at the schedule as “ What QBs are we playing” Buffalo - Josh Allen x2. Not scared Pats - + or - Brady x2. Still not scared Miami. Rookie QB or a washed up Fitz. X2. Not scared Broncos Drew Lock . Not sold on him Raiders. Derek Carr. Anyone scared of him ??? Browns. Mayfield. Might wake up and feel dangerous Cardinals. Murray. Still ALOT to learn 49ers. Jimmy G Above average QB @chiefs. Mahomes. Very scary @Chargers. Rookie QB. ????? @Colts. Ryan Leaf ? Rookie ? IDK @Rams. Goff. Not quite the greatest show on turf anymore @ Seattle. Wilson. Scary Not saying we’re going 14-2 but QBs run the league , and these QBs aren’t that good
i am a huge darksider with this team going back to the days of losing to jim zorn and the seahawks in the late 70's early 80's........... while i think there is a better than 50/50 shot this current team unravels like the kotite days.......there is certainly a chance that doesn't happen and things unfold well enough to produce a 9 or 10 win season. very tough to predict this upcoming year - even before the draft and FA.
Have to wait until the draft and FA to begin to take an educated guess on what teams can do. Then you have the injury factor which no one can predict. I just hope JD has a very good offseason in improving the talent on the roster.
