Feels like Claypool is slipping. I'd use our second 3rd rounder on him if he falls that far and we haven't already taken a WR. I don't believe his speed will be an issue.

It's gonna cost a fortune to sign one of the top lineman in FA like Conklin and Thuney

Per year doesn't really matter, it's all about the GTD money. I'd give Robby about 20-22M GTD over 4 years.

His comment was actually about that Cardinals.... not the jets. Read the post he quoted.

And it's possible that neither hits the open market. Remember last year when there was hope that one of Clowney, Lawrence, or Clark would shake free? It's imperative to find impact players(OL, Edge, WR) in the draft as teams will usually tag or extend their top players before they become FA's.

I'm starting to think the Dolphins are definitely going to move up and get Tua at 2. They put the plan in motion two years ago to get him when they hired Flores and dismantled the roster. They already sacrificed several seasons of a rebuild. I don't think they'd be too upset with letting him sit a season while the rest of the team matures.

Then he starts year two surrounded by tons of draft picks. And Flores and the Dolphins become New England South while we meddle at 7-9 and 8-8 for the rest of all of our natural born lives.

Spotrac says his value is just a bit over 12 million a year; a bit of bidding could get him up over thirteen.

The advantage to the Jets for bringing Robby back is his chemistry with Sam - and he has been pretty durable regardless of his lean physique.
But it's obvious his priorities are for the amount of money in his pocket , guaranteed and, from what I have read, returning to his home area.

We need OL and play makers on offense in the worst way. Our FA signings shouldn't affect who we take in the draft too much. Those will likely be short term fixes.

Have you noticed in the past week that most mocks and even the draft games have Biadasz slipping - some even into the last second/early third ?

I've noticed that he's slipping, but not that far. I wonder if Ruiz is a better prospect.

All these mocks will change over the next week when players rise and fall based on performance in shorts.

I haven't posted too much lately, but still follow the draft and prospects. I ran the simulator on F.S., so take it for what it's worth. I'm really glad to get Wills at #11, he's my favorite OT in this draft. Even though, Hall was injured for part of last year, he's a tall play maker that is a ball hawk and supports the run very well. Ruiz's stock seems to be on the rise, while other centers seem to be falling.

I love Duvernay, watch some film on him, he's a dynamic play maker..Joshua Kelley had a great Senior Bowl week, should be drafted much higher.

I wanted to get a OG, like Logan Stenberg or Shane Lemieux, but they weren't available when selecting and had to address other needs.

Difficult to draft now with no knowledge of Free Agency.

    11: R1 P 11 OT JEDRICK WILLS, ALABAMA

    48: R2 P16 CB BRYCE HALL, VIRGINIA

    68: R3 P4 C CESAR RUIZ, MICHIGAN

79: R3 P15 EDGE KENNY WILLEKES, MICHIGAN STATE

    117 R4 P14 WR DEVIN DUVERNAY, TEXAS

158:R5 P12 RB, JOSHUA KELLEY, UCLA

191:R6 P12 OT CHARLIE HECK, NORTH CAROLINA

211:R6 P32 CB JOSIAH SCOTT, MICHIGAN STATE

I love Becton, but for some reason I get a bad gut feeling about him. A couple months ago he was a mid-2nd pick and now he’s ranked as the best OT by some pundits.

I would still take Thomas over him

I’m all over the board honestly. I liked Thomas early, was high on wirfs and still am but lately on the becton wagon. I go with the parcels theory here, there’s not a lot of guys like him walking the earth.

I mean, in the same respect, a couple months ago Andrew Thomas was ranked as the best OT by nearly all pundits and now he’s ranked on average, at about 3rd or 4th.
