I know Casey got hurt but even though this isn't season ending (if true) it still is a big problem for the Isles who were already weak at center with Casey. They are only 2 points behind Pitt and 5 behind Washington. Lou really needs to make a move and give this team some help.
IMO it is easier to make a trade from strength when u are winning or playing well as opposed to out of weakness when u are losing----that said pull the trigger Lou

5-0 after 2. Just one of those nights. After back to back wins over the Caps and Flyers and this being 3 games in 4 nights I guess they were due for a letdown/bad game. No excuses for Saturday. They better show up and compete against Vegas.

Not re-signing Lehner was a mistake by Lou, he was younger and much better than Varlamov. This is a bad game but they played with so much adrenaline against Caps and Phillie that I expected a sluggish effort just not this bad. Move on to the next game, this one is done.
Trade deadline is 10 days away. Just throwing this out there but Adam Henrique playing on a bad Ducks team has 19 goals and 12 assists in 57 games this season. He has consistently been a 40-50 point player throughout his career. He still has 4 years left on his contract and is only 30. He is a vet who can fill the 3C role that the Isles desperately need especially with Casey out 3-4 weeks. He is also a Lou guy from their Devils days. Anaheim needs to rebuild and the Isles need a C for the 3rd line. Lou needs to wake up from his season long nap and Henrique is a player the Isles can realistically get.
I have seen this move discussed and I think it would be a good move now especially with the injuries that said I think getting old man Goring out of the booth would be a good move = I will not be shocked if 11 days from now we are all writing " how did they NOT make any moves "
Same here but that would be the wrong thing to do if the idea is to try and win this year. They are fighting for their playoff lives and the roster needs to be upgraded. We have the best coach in hockey and he is getting the most out of this roster but even he can only do so much.
